After diving into some huge Christmas covers by Pentatonix, I thought I'd check out another massive cover from them; Imagine by the one & only John Lennon!

This arrangement is based on Lennon's original, that begins with just him and his piano. The Pentatonix dum-dum-dums in the background evoke the rhythm of the piano in the original. Then PTX adds the choral section and a final chorus.

This came out in March of 2017. Trump's first inauguration had been in January and there had been protests and counter protests, without much attempt at understanding. This video shows that a group of people with many differences can also have things in common and can come together literally in harmony. Enjoy your holidays.

I absolutely love this song and their rendition. It gets me emotional every time. Their signs are what makes each of them unique and when they pass the card on to the next person it is what they share with them. So both Mitch and Scott are LGBTQIA2+, Scott and Avi are men, Avi and Kevin are Americans, Kevin and Kirsten are Christian. It shows that we are all unique but we all share something with others and despite our differences we are all human. I also believe this was the first time that Scott came out publicly as gay. He'd never really hid it, he was out to family and friends but he'd never really done that on stage and the look Mitch gives Scott as he passes his card to him, I feel is like 'You got this,' and you can see the huge smile that goes across Scott's face when he passes his card to Avi. It is just beautiful
