Hayko is a national treasure! Would you also please react to "Pentagram - Sonsuz" among your Turkish rock discovery

You should definitely check out Cem Adrian, who has an incredible vocal range in Turkish music. I highly recommend his rendition of Summertime. If you want to focus on vocals, you can definitely check out the acoustic performance of “Aşk” by Sertab Erener, Turkey’s Eurovision winner. If you want to go with rock for now, I can say there are plenty of bands worth exploring. My top recommendations are Duman, Manga, Adamlar, and Pentagram.

Btw if you are gonna react to more Sebnem Ferah, one song will f you: it is Delgec (from the same concert in 2010) and after that you will never be the same regarding live performances. Also I am willing to translate bc I think when ppl do reactions, they forget one of the most important things: the meaning. Eg here with "Paranoya" you could not understand anything and it makes me sad. Regardless of the language, the lyrics are anchors. I am a translator and native Turkish speake and here is the lyrics of "Paranoya" (there is no gender in Turkish but I translated as "he" but Hayko refers not a man actually: Intro He looked at me He saw me He sized me up He moved in close to me Which means this, which means this What did it mean, what did it mean? I asked the question What did I ask him? I asked the question (Verse) Did you look at me? Did you see me? Did you size me up? You took my hand You came next to me You broke my back You heard my voice Look, look at your condition You turned to ash, didn’t you? You faded away Did he look at me? Did he see me? Is this what he saw? Did he love me? Did he kiss me? Did he ask me? He grabbed my hand Oh, oh, my condition If I could be sure, I’d be fine (Bridge) Was there someone? Did someone see? They asked the question Did they ask a question? Did they ask a question? Did they ask me? Oh, oh, my condition It’s you, I’m speaking to (Outro) I became your servant, I became a dog; did anyone see my condition? Did someone strike me, did someone throw my balance apart? Look at me, I didn’t smile even for a moment Stop me for a second, stop me Stop my tongue, damn it, stop my voice Get me a doctor See my condition, look into my mind I don’t even know if it happened (like both "If I ever lived" or "has this been happened")

This song is about paranoia (which is also the name of the song, paranoya means paranoia), fear, inner conflict and emotional instability. The song portrays a paranoid man expressing essentially the same thoughts and emotions in different psychological states. Although the meaning of his words remains similar, the way he delivers them constantly changes. sometimes fearful, sometimes angry, suspicious, desperate, or unstable. It feels like hearing different sides of the same troubled mind. This shifting vocal performance is one of the most distinctive aspects of the song, making the listener experience the confusion and emotional intensity of paranoia rather than simply hearing a song about it. Most of the turkish songs is meaningfull when you understand the lyrics. If you read the translation of the lyrics while listening, you will get the full experience
