Important Update (Patreon)

Hey guys!

First of all I wanted to check in and again and see how you’re all doing? I want to start making these posts a regular thing here on the Patreon as I think it’s important to be able to interact with all of you!

I’ve also been thinking about adding some more extra perks to the Patreon. I feel as if people who are not so interested in the current content are seeing less reason to continue supporting the channel; there’s been quite a drop-off in pledges this month and so I think adding some extra benefits would make it more worthwhile.

I have some ideas; Personal reaction requests? Exclusive livestreams? Perhaps a Patreon group chat where we can all interact?

Let me know what you think, and if there’s anything else you would be interested in!

Also, I don’t know if it is just me, I am not used to all these types of APPs, but it would be nice if your videos were uploaded on Vevo, because i cannot maximize the screen size when watching your videos. So it can sometimes be hard to watch your reactions to things like BTS In the Soop because the screen is small on my phone. I like to watch during my work lunch. Again, it might just be me, I’m a little inept sometimes with technology…lol

For a lot of the monthly patrons, you have to consider that this month there are a lot of costs between bts online tickets (for this month and April) or theatre viewing so there might be some people who had to drop off for a month. I would love if you could find a way to react to one of the online concerts - I feel okay mentioning it because you can go in the theater or watch the other night on your own, but I would love to be able to watch the concert with you over and over again. I'm also guessing that while the boys are in the states there will be a lot of content so if you can market to what is on the patreon to people watching on youtube, you will probably get people back here. You're great, so clear your schedule for the end of March/beginning of April to get all the reactions out on youtube from the Grammys and all the things which will drive traffic here.

Hello, I’m fine. Currently recovering from a vaccine shot and university exams. Thank you for asking. I hope you’re doing well, too! I also think that personal request is a nice idea, and live streams as well, but live streaming seems like a lot of work to me. If you’re comfortable with doing this, go for it! Your insta live streams were fun ^^ You could also check out the old BTS show “Rookie King” (maybe the name is wrong). It’s an iconic Rookie era show they had, it’s rather short but still worth checking out! I don’t know where you can find it though. But I’m sure someone will know! I watched this show years ago. I think it would be nice if you react to other groups on here as well. I am only interested in BTS related stuff but as far as I know other groups are doing something similar to BTS run as well. At least I saw some kind of show with some girlgroups, like Twice and BlackPink, but also with TxT. I might be wrong on that since I’m not interested in Kpop besides BTS so others can correct me on that. But you could maybe react to the BlackPink movie or something. With that more people would be interested in checking your Patron out. That chatroom idea seems nice but we could see what happened to your discord chatrooms… it’s a lot of work to keep such chatrooms alive. I’m sure you know that. No one wants you to overwork here. I would just say start adding one or maximum two new perks to your Patron and not more. If this change is too drastic or demanding for you, it’ll only backfire. If things work well, you can change or add different things in the future!

I’m glad you’re doing well Control, I hope your exams went well! Thank you for your feedback on the suggestions; you’re right that live-streaming would be a lot of work, but it would be fun to maybe do one or two a month to see how it goes! I’ll definitely be checking out Rookie King real soon, I’ve heard a lot about it. As for the other groups; I’ve been thinking about this for some time as it is something I do want to check out. It would be a lot more work for me, as I’d want to do it on top of the current BTS stuff as I wouldn’t want the BTS content to suffer because of it. It’s a good suggestion though! I’m sure there’s a few BTS fans on the Patreon who would also be interested in seeing some varied content from other groups. I’ll definitely try a couple extra perks out before adding too many though; you’re right that I do have the tendency to overwork myself and that’s never good! Thanks again Control!

Hey Julianne! Thank you for your reply; you’re completely right about the concerts etc. and it’s totally understandable that some people would’ve had to drop off! I’m still not sure whether or not I’ll be able to make it to the cinema for the concert, but either way I’ll definitely be checking it out here on the Patreon! You’re right though that there will be a lot of content coming up soon and that will make things easier for me on YouTube; there’s not too much new stuff to check out at the moment so it’s understandable that people wouldn’t be so engaged with the content at the moment! Ahh yeah this is something I’ve noticed when using the muse.ai website I’ve been using recently. I thought it was just me having the issue at first! I think most of my recent videos should be fine as they are uploaded on YouTube, but for some reason this has been happening with the other ones. I’ll search it up and see if anything can be done!

Hey! I think it’s good that you want to have more interaction with Patreons. You could do below suggestions which other Patreons do! 1. Livestream once a week. My other Patreons do weekly livestreams where they chat or sometimes have watch party kind of stuff also. This would allow you to have more interactive session. You could start with bi-weekly if you feel once a week would be too much and you can get a sense of it. 2. I don’t know about others but personally I feel that sometimes you do not take note of the comments. I might be wrong but I’ve noticed it in a few instances. I also understand that Patreon doesn’t give out notifications like YT but you can always go back and check comments as not all of us watch the content as it comes out. This goes for your messages/comments in inbox also. 3. You could do early release/access here of some reactions. Or have some uncut reactions here. 4. You could react to a lot of BTS content which you haven’t covered at all like Memories, Musters, Season’s Greetings, Concert DVDs, Summer Packages, Winter Packages. I know these are paid content but I’m sure a lot of subscribers could give free links for you to watch/react. This could include Run BTS Behind also. In terms of content here I think thrice a week is a good amount! 😊

ya, i agree with some of the Patreons... since BTS is on a break, there are no new exciting content from them. Maybe can react to the talk shows that they been on in South Korea. its totally different from the talk shows in America. my personal faves are Lets BTS & You Quiz on the Block.

Hi Sammy! I'm doing well thanks! Hope you are too. I think something exciting to react to could be whole livestreamed concerts! (MOTS:ON:E, SOWOOZOO, PTD) even if you may have already watched them, I think people really enjoy not just your initial reactions, but the experience of watching them with you! So that could be fun and drive some more traffic back over. Livestreams would be fun too! And you can take live requests/the personal requests during them, and reupload them here later. I personally don't know too much about kpop...just bts 😅 but if you'd like to check out more of other groups without decreasing the bts uploads, I think livestreams would be a great place for those too! There's also the yearly FESTA videos, that are about an hour long that you haven't reacted to yet where they have pretty deep conversations with each other, so those could be a patreon exclusive too! And maybe even watching HWARANG, the kdrama V was in. I've been loving the vlive reactions by the way, I think those were a great addition to the subscription. Feel free to ask us whenever you feel stuck on what to react to next, for any suggestions, or links! BTS may be on break right now, but there's years worth of stuff out there. You've got this :)

Hey Arpita! The live-streaming idea is something that I really do want to implement, as it does sound like it’d be a lot of fun. It’d also be a really good way to be able to interact with you guys a lot better. I’d probably have to start it off every other week, as my schedule is already quite busy and see how it goes! I’m trying to be better with replying to messages and comments as well. Sometimes I do get overwhelmed with having to manage my channel, Patreon and emails (as I’m a one-man team and I do everything on my own), and so I find it hard to read all the comments on top of this. I’ll do better tho!! Thank you for listing some of the content I haven’t yet gotten to though! I’m aware I’ve still got quite a lot to check out and I’ll be running a poll in the next few weeks to see what people want to see first! Hey Luna! I’m glad you’re doing well! I’ll definitely be checking out the Seoul concert here on the Patreon; perhaps even on a livestream and then upload it after! I really like the idea of doing the livestreams whilst taking live requests, it’d be a good way to get through all the videos which I don’t have time to film for youtube! A little confession.. I’ve watched quite a few of the FESTA videos in my own time unfortunately (I couldn’t help myself😭) but there are still a few I haven’t watched that could be good to do on the Patreon! I’m so glad you’ve been enjoying the VLive reactions though, I’ve been really enjoying doing those so that’s good to hear some positive feedback on them😁 Thanks again for your support and help with the suggestions, I really appreciate it!!💜💜

Live-streaming is something that can easily go upto 2 hours and you don’t even realise it so do it as per your convenience in the beginning and then you can figure out a schedule if you wish to continue. I honestly didn’t want you to feel burdened with my 2nd point as I understand it can be quite overwhelming and this app has its limitations in notifications. But then again from my/our perspective the comments are not too much so sometimes feel like that. I hope you understand that it wasn’t like an accusation or anything. 🙏🏻 Running a poll would be great! And in terms of links we can support you in that 😊!!

This is why I love Patreon. I love that I can directly support content and that a community with direct communication can be created. Personally, I have just joined the Patreon so there is still enough content for me to catch up on and I also have left more than 300 of your YouTube videos. But I think it is great you are taking the initiative and try to change things up, so I'd like to contribute to support that. I get that it is difficult to put new and exciting things up as you have already put out so much content. I've noticed for myself that I can lose interest in reactors when there isn't really anything "new" they can react to. That's just spoiled humans getting bored to quickly I guess.😅 But it doesn't happen if I really like the person and just like to "hang out" with them. It is a different vibe from a kind of first time reaction style to more of a watching together style I guess. And also to comment about the comments (haha...): That is also something I have noticed with myself, I just like to know that a person generally looks at the comments. Of course it is impossible to read everything and especially answer everything but just a comment about how you read something in the comments or sometimes answering here and there helps a lot to get the feeling that input is recognised. Thanks again for the huge ammount of content that is already up here!

I would love you to teach yourself just a little bit of Hangul (Korean alphabet) and some basic Korean (maybe do Duolingo). It honestly is not that hard and you wouldn’t miss as much in the episodes/jokes etc.

I still think there’s lots of content you haven’t seen ! I know you’ve gone all in on the tik toks, but I hope you know there is still other content, like their appearances on tv shows, even if they’re old they’re fun ! There’s still series, American hustle life and rookie king and summer/winter packages too. I’m sure someone’s compiled a complete list somewhere !! Of course there’s also old concerts. There’s the festas each year !! I love seeing you forge ahead with run, and the odd livestreams (tho I do think unfortunately a lot of their lives aren’t necessarily so interesting bc it’s hard for them to properly interact w us as we’re such a big fan base ! So there’s moments in them but whole streams can be a lot of thEm not knowing what to say, let alone you. So some of those you may just wanna watch alone !) But yeah, maybe you can find someone’s list somewhere and add a few different things into the mix ? We don’t know when current content will come back so it’s a good time to go back in the archives a bit :) We all appreciate you asking us ! I still love hanging out w you via rewatching bts, idk it’s become comforting :) Thanks !

Have you considered doing some of their summer or winter packages or season’s greetings from the past years. I’m sure they are on a few sites or someone knows where to watch them. I appreciate that you do purchase their content but most of the older ones are not available except at ridiculous prices. Just an idea. I know a few have done those.
