They aren’t pressing a button for the water to go off. For each debate there is an action and a word they cannot do/say which is different for both teams and when they say/do the prohibited word/action the staff set the water off. In one of the first debates they kept smacking the table because hitting the table was the prohibited action for that round! So yes, they did just keep doing it on purpose to sabotage the other members😂😂 Also, make sure you catch all the subtitles because they can go quite fast and often it will say what the prohibited word/ action is but you missed those a few times so that’s why you got a bit confused 😂

Others already mentioned there are different prohibited actions that change every round and that’s why they’re getting splashed not because they were hitting a button lol so you’re not confused for the next episode i think it’s good to know that each side is randomly given the stance they have to debate they aren’t getting to choose. So that’s why Jimin said he actually ate his soggy but he was on the crunchy side.. so it makes it even funnier that they have to debate something they might not believe themselves! Which is why some of the member were just saying ridiculous bullshit things as “proof” or reason 🤣
