I love backstory episodes! It´s so fun And it´s so weird to see Hen with a wig, and being... "happy" with Eva. On the one hand episodes like this are halting the actual story in the present, but it´s just so interesting to see. God I hate that captain! How was this guy not fired/transferred ages ago? You can see in the way he also talked with Chimney that he is just an asshole to everyone.

captain gerrard is the worst character of 911 without a doubt..condescending, racist and treating his team like absolute garbage. he deserves a good punch in the face oh my god. im truly glad you finally watch this one!!!! i love hen so much, love how she stands for herself. since i first discovered the show back in 2017, i always felt like she's severely underrated, she's such an amazing character!!

your very first begins episode! you may get your wish for more throughout the series. one of the best things about 9-1-1 is the begins episodes. we get so much rich backstory for all these characters we’ve grown to love. they don’t always feel so isolated like this one and tend to connect more with the ongoing story but i do love this episode because hen is so special to me. that speech she gives - chills every time. the hen and chim friendship is easily the best on this show full of amazing friendships and seeing how it began is everything. chim trying his best to connect and be there for her when no one else was. i just love them so much.
