Ok I LOVED your analysis here Jessie! I just jumped on the G&G bandwagon after season 3 came out and ever since I’ve been binging reactions to the series to see what other people think of characters and storylines. I completely agree with what you said at the end of this one about Georgia and how we as the audience that’s been privy to insight on her character through flashbacks and inner monologues understand and can sympathize with her even as she makes really questionable choices, but we should not ignore the negative impact many of those choices have had on other people- including those closest to her whom we know she loves and would do anything for. It’s a VERY tricky and layered situation for sure because even though Georgia’s intentions may be only to protect and do right by her kids- it’s clear that that is not always the end result of the decisions she makes regarding them. And she is, as you said, oblivious to that in some ways which I find infuriating on behalf of Ginny (and Austin).
