Having ER as pre-The Pitt appetizer sounds great :D Harper Tracy (new med student) is played by Christine Elise and you might know her either from Beverly Hills 90210 days or more likely Chucky tv series (which I have not seen because I am scaredy cat but IMDB tells me she was on for quite a bit :) I was laughing on you not recognizing Jeanie though she was quite minor character last season. And wow I am with so with you on 'oh girl' with her confessing love and getting a blank stare. Mark is a fresh Attending now and boy is he letting Morgenstern roll over him. He really messed up first giving hope to Jane for Chief of Residence just to hire Kerry while under pressure. Same with telling Doug he will give him the well paid swing shifts and balks out when Doug is a sore spot for other higher ups in a meeting. A lot of guest stars/bit characters starting to float around. Cannot wait for you to try to recognize some quite famous people who would just have a tiny role 30 years ago :D That's half the fun of those old shows :D

Nah, ER's the main. The beef. The pit is maybe the desert :)) Sorry not sorry. The pitt may be a tiny bit more accurate but ER is the perfect blend of drama and ER goodness.

I really hope you stick with the show. Each season has it's strong points , but my personal favorites (personal opinion, no spoilers) are seasons 6, 8 and partly 9. So I would love to see you get there eventually. ER is such a ride. People come and go, can't wait to see you react to it all

Oufff so many wrong assumptions here :) 1st. Mark is an attending now. He finished his residency. 2nd. Carol did not agree with Jane - you missed it because you were talking over it but she said to Mark - ''Jane? Really? Morgernstern has a point Mark'' - she only said to Morgernstern that Jane's the best out of this year's crop (referring to this hospital) Pretty much everyone except Susan thought Jane was not a great pick. And Carter just had a rough first day back. He was late because his plane was delayed (not 100% his fault - sure he might have thought to come back 1 week before the start but still haha Also, you seem to forget that Carter is still a student. He still needs to learn about the different bits for his surgeries. He could have been better prepared but Benton also went hard on him (because he was late) - and made him look bad. It's not about lack of knowledge. Carter cannot know beforehand which surgeries will be assigned to him and what needs to learn. To jump from that to him not wanting to be here it's a huge leap.
