If I remember correctly, the old man said he became the witness when he left his fiancee at the altar and passed the curse to her (Rachel's) family, so I think that’s why Rachel became the witness when she passed the curse to Nicky’s family? Either way, I’m so glad she survived! The family was weird af haha so I'm not surprised you thought they were involved somehow. I could see the Rachel/Nelly/Jules throuple ;-)
