Ugh and here we go with the worst and most annoying character in the show IMHO. Carla Reese. Just the way she lay the news to Benton was soo disgusting to me. I know some people might have different opinions, but the way she treats Benton from here on out is so rough, I literally skip their scenes together on re-watches.

It's not specified on the show at any point but I will die on this hill. I am pretty sure Carla used Benton to have a baby and then discarded him like yesterday's news. Just the way she is with him during the other scenes they share this season and how she treats him from this episode on forward. Also, bear in mind that she didn't tell him anything yet and she's been pregnant for a while. If she didn't had issues and needed a check-up, she might have not told him at all.
