Most of the characters in Storybrooke (and Enchanted Forest) do tend to speak in their "real" dialect (aka the actor's natural speaking voice). Robert Carlyle changes his accent NUMEROUS times in just a single speech, but Jamie Dornan as well as others coming along (he's Irish) don't waver much. Some "spruce it up for effect", but most speak pretty naturally. And yes, I'm sure plenty have let you know, but that's Snow's glass coffin (congrats on being one of the first reactors I've seen that caught that)! For the record, Charming and an unyet met character are a tie for my favorite (but I lean more toward Charming).

All of these characters have such amazing depth, I love certain ones for certain reasons and it’s so hard to pick a favorite! I think I definitely have to stick with Henry right now, Rumole is a close second. Maybe I will do a video on my top five after season one!

That Still Small Voice- First and foremost... Thank you for another great reaction for Once Upon a Time, Jessie!!! I really love this episode a lot, and it's another one of my absolute favorite episodes from season one. For one, I really love that we get a backstory and an origin for Jiminy Cricket, which we've never gotten before in any fairytale version of Pinocchio. And it's absolutely beautiful, and so touching. We've only ever known Jiminy to be a cricket who becomes a conscience for Pinocchio when the Blue Fairy grants Geppetto's wish for a child by turning his puppet into a living puppet, who later becomes a real boy thanks to Jiminy Cricket's teachings about the importance of remaining selfless, brave, and true. Also, I really love Archie's character a lot. He's definitely and easily one of my favorite of the non main characters. And Raphael Sbarge, who plays Archie/Jiminy is a very talented actor, who I really, really like in many shows and movies I've seen him in. As for why I feel Jiminy didn't feel like he could leave his parents despite being within his thirties or forties within the past storyline... his parents are extremely manipulative and verbally abusive... so much so that Jiminy came to hate the man he was and more so, the life he was trapped in. Sadly, he had come to see himself to be as they were, when in truth Jiminy is a good man who simply longed to be free. I really love this about him and the parallel into the Storybrooke world as it reveals that Jiminy was a man who took a long time to finally realize who he wanted to be like Henry tells Archie. As for why Jiminy goes to Rumplestiltskin to deliver to him some of the trinkets he and his parents have stolen... it isn't really explained, but Rumple is a character who has his hands in everything and dealings with everyone in some form or another, and chances are, Jiminy's parents have some sort of deal with him where they have to give him a certain percentage of all they steal. Rumple is Jiminy's parents' fence essentially. Plus... in Storybrooke, Gold has all kinds of trinkets, bobbles, and treasures, magical and non magical, inside his pawnshop that all came over in the curse from the Enchanted Forest. Although because they are the Land Without Magic, none of these items have maintained their magical properties. Now... I really love how Jiminy wishes to become a cricket so he could escape from his parents. They would keep searching for him as a man, never thinking to look for him in the form of a cricket. And Jiminy simply loves crickets. For him, crickets are a symbol of freedom he fears he will never have. And I really love this idea. I love that we get to see more of the Blue Fairy again too, as she comes down from the sky to grant Jiminy's wish. Not only does him being a cricket allow for him to escape from his life, but it allows for him to be free so he can continue to help the young boy, who we learned is Geppetto, whose parents suffered from Jiminy's parents' cruelty and the potion given to him from Rumplestiltskin. Sadly, this potion back fires and turns Geppetto's parents into wooden puppets. Scary wooden puppets too, that we see again in the very end within Gold's shop. The reason why Rumple wanted to take them is never explained, but he has his reasons for everything. Also... seeing his parents as puppets most likely instilled the fascination and need in Geppetto to learn how to carve figures and puppets from wood, as he grows into the man we know him to be from Pinocchio. It's brilliant. I absolutely love this parallel to Geppetto carving Pinocchio out of wood as well. :) I love that Jiminy wants to help the boy, like Jiminy Cricket is known for being Pinocchio's conscience in the Disney movie and fairytale of Pinocchio. And I love that Jiminy and Archie have come to be Geppetto's and Marco's closest friend in both worlds. As for Henry... a lot of people feel that his character is weak in the beginning of this show, but the actor who plays him... Jared Gilmore does continue to grow into the character and he improves as the show continues on. I however have loved him from the very beginning. He's absolutely adorable. Now... I love the entire storyline for Archie in this episode. I really felt badly for him when Regina threatens him if he doesn't crush Henry's "delusion". But I love, love, love how he stands up to her in the end and tells her that he's going to continue to help Henry the way his conscience sees fit. Definitely one of my favorite moments in this episode. It's most definitely an Emma moment for Archie. :) I love the overall storyline between Archie and Henry, as Henry helps him to remember who Archie feels he wants to be while they're trapped inside the collapsed mine, after Archie shatters his spirit in a low blow after Regina's threat, and it breaks Archie to do so. You can see the pain and regret on his face right away. However, his weakness makes him human and I love seeing all sides of this incredible character. It also gives Henry more of a resolve to find proof in what he's been trying to tell everyone. But more than this... I love that Henry shows Archie that he is truly a good man in spite of Archie believing otherwise his whole life. Beautiful. I think it's wonderful that Henry has right away allowed Archie to be in on Operation Cobra too, because it shows just how much he cares about Archie, and how much Archie means to him. It also shows how much Archie cares about Henry too. This is why Archie's cruel words to him from when he was too afraid to stand up for himself against Regina really crush him. Yes... I'm sure that Henry senses somewhat that what Archie told him about being crazy were words coming from his adopted mother because she might have threatened him, but because Archie means so much to him, the pain from the words Archie spoke to him hurt him even more. And then... the mine is continuing to collapse and Archie and Henry enter inside of an old elevator shaft to try to get out, but in another collapse, the elevator falls and the ground beneath them gives way a little more, trapping them within the shaft, as the elevator's about to collapse. As for Pongo... like I've mentioned before, Pongo is from Disney's 101 Dalmatians, and I love this too. And Pongo is important in Archie's life. For the creators and writers, Archie seemed like the right choice to be his owner since they've chosen not to bring Roger and Anta from 101 Dalmatians into the show. And Archie really is the right match to fit Pongo with. Pongo is so cute!!! I really like how Pongo helps everyone working to save Henry and Archie from the mine by locating where they are. And I love how everyone comes together from the town to save them. At last... Emma volunteers to be lowered into the shaft to help them out and the elevator is about to fall. I love that Archie uses his umbrella... said back in the episode, The Thing You Love Most, to be Archie's lucky charm. This is proven to be true when his umbrella is what saves his life, as it allows him to grab onto one of the rings hanging on Emma's belt. Plus... Jiminy's umbrella is an iconic detail for his character from his fairytale, so I love that Archie always carries it with him. And then... the crickets begin chirping in Storybrooke because Archie finds the will to stand up to Regina. I love how him finding it in him again to be who he really wants to be, and Emma choosing to stay on as Deputy and making roots for herself makes more changes, and continues to weaken the curse. As for the scenes between David and Mary Margaret... I absolutely love them. I especially love the moment when David states he feels like he's woken up in some strange land, which is certainly the truth, given that he fell unconscious from being severely wounded just before the curse brought them over from the Enchanted Forest to Storybrooke as their cursed selves. And more so... I love the moment David declares that Mary Margaret is the only thing... the only person who feels real. So beautiful. Unfortunately, Kathryn keeps getting in the way. It's unfortunate that as far as the three of them know... David and Kathryn are married due to the curse making them and everyone believe so, when in reality they're not. And lastly... as for what's shown down at the bottom of the mine after Regina and Henry both find the shards of glass, a piece of which Regina then drops down into the mine in the end... we see Snow White's shattered glass coffin in which she had been laid to rest in until Charming gives her True Love's Kiss and wakes her from her eternal slumber caused by the Evil Queen's poisoned apple. Overall... I love this episode very much for the uniqueness of Jiminy Cricket's origin story. I can't wait for more!!! Thank you so much again!!! Until next time... Sincerely, Heidi

Jiminy is definitely a character that I didn’t think I would not like, but would not be one of my favorites. Watching his character progression and being on season two now, he is definitely one of my favorites!

Yes... I really love Jiminy/Archie. He's just so kind and genuine in wanting to help people. And I love his relationship with Henry.
