As usual, wonderful insight during your post-episode thoughts! Timeline-wise, I think Shannon was around 17 when Jack operated on Sarah (since you already made that connection). Shannon was 21/22 on the island, so Jack and Sarah’s whole relationship was 3-4 years tops. I think you were thinking of Goodwin when discussing the one who infiltrated the tail section.

I love the new setup! Even if it is a bit strange to see Lexi without Christmas decorations ;-) Couldn't Sawyer and Kate have been a bit later, then we'd know what happens when you don't enter the code in time! Jack just deciding for Kate that she's not coming along is not a good look. I'm not a fan of Sawyer - I think he's been playing the bad boy long enough that he really became one - but Jack isn't great either. Maybe Kate should check out Hurley, he's pretty great. Wait no, he's into Libby. And Charlie's hung up on Claire.

Jack does have some control issues and thats one of the reasons why his relationship didn't work out and why he's acting that way on the island. Remember the man of science vs faith argument he had with locke. I agree though that it wasn't entirely his fault. Sarah has a lot of blame too and she unfortunately idealized him when he saved her. Never a good idea to marry your patients. I do think the reasoning you mentioned is why she left him, she just said it in less words lol

Fun fact: In the flashbacks, Jack stares for a moment at the X-rays behind him. In the corner of the X-rays there is the date 16 Nov 2005. This is impossible, since the date of the plane crash was September 22nd 2004. Also, no reaction from you to the Other guy saying at 32:04: "Bring her out Alex"? 🤔
