Weird Magic

One little tidbit I'm not sure you caught - the "crop circle" wasn't a circle, it was in the shape of the "?", hence the episode title AND the middle of the blast door hatch blacklight pic. Originally airing on May 10, 2006, '?' is Episode 21 of Season 2 of LOST. It is the 46th episode overall and has an IMDB rating of 8.7, placing it as the #6 ranked episode of this season and #15 out of all the episodes shown so far.

Terry O'Quinn (Locke) is such a great actor. You could literally see that something broke in him when he watched the orientation film. He lost his faith, that he finally found after arriving on the island. After his shitty life and job, after he lost his girlfriend and his legs and after losing Boone too, he finally got something he believed in: pushing the button. The island gave him his legs back and it gave him faith to be doing something important. Remember the title of the first episode in season 2: man of science, man of faith. While Jack is clearly the man of science, Locke is the man of faith. And he lost it in this moment. And you clearly could see all of this on the face of this terrific actor. Such a great series.

There’s a lot of questioning of faith in this episode, which is why I love the episode title. Was the girl in the flashback really dead? Was it a miracle? Was the psychic truly a fraud like he explained to Eko? Is the button a psychological experiment?

Wow, Can’t believe you are almost at the end of season 2! Love this LOST journey with you. 😊BTW episode 23 and 24 are are a 2 part finale that were originally aired together, back to back, like a 2 hour movie with commercials (network tv); sooooo I recommend that you watch the finale as one if you can manage it! ❤️

Just in case anyone was in any doubt how immersed Lexi is in the show, she moves out of the way when Eko blows the dust off a book - love it!
