This is how the last book in the series (A Dance with Dragons) ended! The book readers have been waiting 13 years to find out what actually happens to Jon 🤣 NO spoilers, but my initial impression as a book reader was that this was not the end of Jon Snow. It didn't make sense to kill him off, too, from a narrative perspective. I won't say what happens in the show, obviously.

Also this is the first time I ever felt sorry for Cersei. Rooting for her to get her comeuppance feels really weird when it comes ... like this. And side note, I really hate that they used a 25-year-old body double to portray a woman in her 40s who's given birth three times. SO unrealistic and disappointing.

Jon’s last chapter in The Dance of Dragons (book 5 which came out in 2011, ended with him being stabbed multiple times in succession before losing consciousness. Cersei’s was the Walk of Atonement, and Dany’s was being surrounded by the Khalasar. For those that read the books these were the last things we knew that was coming, and we’re still waiting for book 6…

I am not a fan of how the show changed Ellaria Sand. In the books after Oberyn died she went home to her daughter (not Tyene) and said she didn’t want anymore fighting for fear of her daughter. Obara, Nymeria, and Tyene had different plans: Obara wanted to declare war; Nymeria wanted to sent assassins after the Lannisters; and Tyene wanted to crown Marcella as Queen of the Seven Kingdoms since Dorne treats the line of succession equally for boys and girls and Tommen is younger, which also would’ve led to war.

Can I suggest a fun little video to react to after such a phenomenal episode where SO MUCH happened? Just to get calm again, you know? All I will say is, its Game of Thrones and you loved the Buffy musical so you will love this one too! It was part of the Red Nose Day campaign between season 5 and 6 of Game of Thrones, so its now spoiler free. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zs7xO5P3Az4

"I'm always so scared one party will die before they get to reunite again." You know it's your fault for saying that, right?

I'd forgotten just how much happened in this episode. Such an epic season finale. And in classic GOT style it gives satisfaction with one hand and takes it with the other, and has us feeling bad for the bad guys. Great stuff!

I am very late to this reaction only just now catching up. Its great how this show can make us feel bad for a character like Cersei. Nobody deserves that. The one thing about Cersei though is that if that happened to someone else she wouldnt have cared...and maybe woud have been happy about it. I do still feel bad for her.
