I love Cersei in this episode. Long may she Reign! :)

Jon's true identity was a theory book readers had had for ages, so it was nice to see it confirmed here

This is my favourite GoT episode, even though Margaery and Tommen's deaths are absolutely heartbreaking. Even in her final moments, Margaery was once more the smartest person in the room, and poor Tommen was just too good and pure for this world. Also, Liam Cunningham (Davos Seaworth) delivers probably the best acting moment in the entire show, incredible performance. I've listened to the music ("The Light of the Seven") from this episode literally over a hundred times, it's so incredibly epic. Also, as a reminder, a Bran quote from episode 3x10: "Have you ever heard about the Rat Cook? [...] A cook in the Night's Watch. He was angry at the King. [...] When the King was visiting the Nightfort, the cook killed the King's son, and cooked him into a big pie. That night he served the pie to the King. [...] The Gods turned the cook into a giant white rat who could only eat his own young. [...] But it wasn't for murder that the Gods cursed the Rat Cook. He killed a guest beneath his roof. That's something the Gods can't forgive." Arya clearly took inspiration from that story, both with the pie thing and the revenge for Walder killing guests under his own roof at the Red Wedding.

There is a long standing tradition upon reactors to now watch a certain fan-edit on youtube. It does not contain anything you already haven't seen, its just a compilation of scenes in past seasons which give more context to the thing with John and Lyanna. Its a phenomenal edit and I would be happy if you could watch it too. Thanks! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3xaspBsfgRg

Cersei is actually not next in line, the King / Queen would have to be a Baratheon, but since Myrcella, Stannis, and Renly are all dead too, there is literally no one left. (Such rare cases would usually lead to a civil war for the succession.) Still, Cersei does not have a better claim than anyone else, that's not how the system works. The reason she was crowned as Queen is simply because she could. She has the support of the huge Lannister army and there were probably no serious challengers either. Also, everyone is terrified of her because she just murdered hundreds of people.

Yes Varys can teleport, didn't you know?

Nooo, Margaery! I'm happy to be rid of that religious lunatic, but I will miss Margaery. A lot of bad people died in the last two episodes. Now if only we could get rid of Littlefinger.

Oh BTW, the building Cersei blew up is also where the important people were buried - it's where Cersei's other children and her father were buried as well. So having Tommen's ashes buried there too is maybe not that weird.

Soo much happened this episode. Its sad that cat died thinking ned cheated on her and fathered a bastard. He was always loyal. I do think if she knew it would be found out by others. Also on the cersei thing, you can see that she truly let go of everything this episode. She was always cruel but she did have some humanity in her regarding her kids. It wasn't that she thought tommen was weak that she wanted him burned, she just wanted him to be with the rest of her family which is the place she blew up lol. I guess it was her way of honoring him?

My favorite episode in the series. The opening score is absolutely amazing. So many characters die, many who we've wanted to die for ages. Arya's revenge. The Davos/Melissandre scene is one of my favorites in the entire series as both actors killed it. Olena teaming up with Dorne and Varus. Just great scenes over and over. Never understood people griping over Varus moving around places (very common complaint lol), there is no timeline over these scenes it could easily be weeks in between them!

"What did Melisandre even do?" Listen I hate her as much as you for killing Shireen but she DID bring Jon back to life 😅

Also this would be a GREAT time for Gendry to finally get off his rowboat and come claim the throne, given you are correct and Cersei is not really next in line for succession!
