hey guys i hope the audio sounds good this episode. The battle was so loud i had to lower its volume quite a bit but this means you might have to turn up the volume during the scenes with dialogues. If there are any scenes where the audio is super bad please leave the timestamps in the comments and then i can fix them. i'm currently away on holiday but once i'm back i can take a look and re edit that section and then upload the edited version here. hope you enjoy the reaction :)

"Oh, Arya, my favorite bad ass, I need her to kill a White Walker!" 36 minutes later: She kills the Night King!!! 😂🙏❤️ Also, a moment of silence for everyone we lost today: Ed 😧 Lyanna 😢 Beric 😔 Theon 🫡 Jorah 😭 Melisandre 🫣 We shall never see their likes again. May they rest in peace. 💔

Goodbye Theon. Not too long ago, Lexi would've killed you herself, but you've more than redeemed yourself. Goodbye Jorah. You were the true picture of a knight. Goodbye Lyanna. Your strength of character was second to none. And goodbye Night King. You looked really pretty exploding into ice crystals.

The Long Night doesn't seem to be a *goal* of the White Walkers, but rather a power, portent, or side effect of their existence - given that the original Long Night that happened 8000 years ago began at the *start* of the invasion of the undead and lasted for decades until they were finally defeated

Melisandre dying when she did always seemed to me like the Lord of Light keeping her around exactly as long as he needed her: The ultimate goal of the Lord of Light seemed to be to win the war against the White Walkers; once that was successful, there was no more need for him to keep Melisandre alive (this is assuming her longevity was due to him like all her other powers).

I had no trouble hearing anything. Seeing this episode, however, has always been difficult lol

Just wanted to highlight that scene where Brienne and Jaime are fighting together back to back on the wall of the castle. I think it’s pretty significant because they’re each fighting with a Valyrian steel sword that was made from Ned Stark’s (or House Stark’s) original Valyrian steel sword Ice. That sword was melted and broken down to 2 swords in season 4, one given to Jaime and then he gave to Brienne and she named Oathkeeper. The other one, given to Joffrey for his wedding and he named it Widow’s Wail, but then he died and Jaime took that sword. So it’s kind like the 2 halves reuniting to fight and defend Winterfell 🥲

You mentioned you really enjoyed the music in that ending scene with the Night King and to answer your question, the composer of the entire series is Ramin Djawadi. He’s actually won Emmy awards for his work on GoT. He’s also scored other shows, including House of the Dragon, the prequel spinoff show of GoT. Btw, will you be reacting to that show after you finish GoT?
