This show! Before Game of Thrones, before Prison Break, this show (along with 24) really dismantled the television rule that "if the actor is in the opening credits, their character won't die". And TV storytelling as we knew it was changed forever!

I think we saw another instance of Jack not being able to “let go” when performing cpr on Charlie after Ethan hung him. As far as the timing of the flashbacks, one of the other puzzles that LOST presents is trying to figure out the chronological order of them.

Great crying from everybody this week - Jack, Lexi, Shannon, the baby - you all absolutely smashed it!

Haha, "Claire Dunphy" sighting. And...In a season one episode of Modern Family, everyone is flying to Hawaii and at the airport Claire's son Luke says to his mom, "You know what would be cool, mom? If the plane flew into a storm and crash-landed onto an island like in Lost"!

The music theme during the scene on the beach - when Shannon finds out about Boone's death while everyone else is admiring Claire's new baby - is titled "Life and Death". Once, a few years after Lost had finished I found some piano sheet music for music from Lost. With my rudimentary piano skills, I took a shot at playing "Life and Death" without really knowing what the music sounds like - and as soon as I heard it, I inexplicably wanted to cry...

Obviously Boone dying is a bummer, but as you now know, he isn't a very major character in the 7 season grand scheme of things (though I do like him more than several of the characters that live much longer), so I didn't expect to cry. And I didn't ... until Shannon got there
