Agent 7!?!

You guys will absolutely love the weirdmaggedon episodes

Pepsi

This Love Is Blind season created so many memes 😂 glad you guys watched it

McKenna DeFranco

something to point out is that mabel had no knowledge of what the rift was because ford told dipper not to tell anyone including mabel. had she known, she wouldn’t have given it to blendin/bill! if ford hadn’t projected his distrust in stan onto dipper and mabel and sworn dipper to secrecy, the likelihood of bill getting his hands on the rift would’ve decreased exponentially

Taka Uchiha

This episode really shows how selfish Mabel is compared to Dipper. I understand she's a child and can't look at the situation with a mature mindset since she's only been shown a negative view of highschool. However, it rubs me the wrong way how she always gets her way compared to dipper. Even Bill points out how much dipper has to sacrifice in comparison to Mabel. I'm a twin IRL and even we don't force each other to follow the others lead or bend over backwards for the other all the time.

Gestrid

Me at the end of this episode: *Joker voice* "And... here... we... go!"

It's ironic how Ford's distrust in others (after getting burned by Stan and Bill) was what ultimately led to the apocalypse he was trying to prevent.

And so Weirdmageddon begins

This episode's cryptograms: During the credits: DID YOU MISS ME? After the credits: THE PROPHECY SEEMED FAR AWAY BUT FINALLY WE'VE REACHED THE DAY. GIVE UP THE PAST. EMBRACE THE STRANGE. EVERYTHING YOU CARE ABOUT WILL CHANGE.

@Lildreezy: Yeah, but, according to "Blendin", it was something nobody would miss. When I think of something like that, I think of something like a pen. I wouldn't care about giving away someone else's pen. She had no idea what she was holding (which was Dipper and Ford's fault for not sharing anything about it), but she trusted Blendin enough to give it to him.

Gestrid

It's not revealed in the show how Bill possessed Blendin since he'd need to make a deal for something like that. But it was revealed in Journal 3, one of the real-life journals published by Disney. In it, it says that, after the episode Blendin's Game, the others at the Time Paradox Avoidance Enforcement Squadron and even Time Baby began to pick on Blendin for losing to a couple of kids. Blendin wished the picking-on would stop, and Bill appeared moments later to offer him a deal: he'd stop Time Baby from bothering him again. Because of that, Bill was able to possess Blendin's body.

Did we watch the same episode? This entire episode was Mabel getting lower and lower, her arguing and running away from dipper wasn’t selfishness it was desperation, she felt her entire world collapsing around her and felt hopeless. She had no idea what she was doing.

We did watch the same episode. I already acknowledged that she isn't in the perfect head space in my original comment. It's true that her selfishness is born out of desperation in this episode but that's not always the case. I've only recent started noticing this really messed up dynamic between the twins. We've seen it over the course of the entire show of how selfish Mabel will/can be without really paying the price for it unlike Dipper. Now there is a moment that really is messed up of Mabel in the coming episodes that I won't say just in case Lett's React reads these comments. I'll wait till they watch that ep to add further to my opinion of Mabel's selfishness.

God this week of waiting is going to be terrible

Kettlebright

I don't know if you've seen it yet, but now that you've made it to Weirdmageddon, you should watch the animatic of Bill Cipher's unused song "It's Gonna Get Weird" by Neil Cicierega, you can find it on youttube. it's great!

“Simply decide to not be anxious” every adult in my godamn life

Ferret

This episode really soured me on Ford, because it shows that he didn't learn anything from his falling out with Stan and how little of a shit he *actually* gave about his brother. Like, he's recreated the circumstances that cause their rift in the first place while dismissing the impact it could have on Mabel.

Ferret

Basically, Ford doesn't actually understand the pain of being separated from someone you've always been inseparable with despite having had it happen to him, and I think it speaks volumes about how he doesn't just see Stan now but has probably *always* seen him.

Bryan

For some reason this is the only episode I can’t remember ever watching besides the end part… also Mable had no idea what the rift thing was cuz they never told her so she didn’t know how dangerous it was

Sean Nissen

The Love is Blind reference in the middle there made me laugh way too hard.

Rosario Black

PLEASE TALK ABOUT "LOVE IS BLIND" MORE. None of my friends watch

@Gestrid if you gave away my pen without my permission I’d kill you. Don’t give away shit that isn’t yours

SwiftStar

Might as well monetize your binge every time a new season of love is blind comes out, could do the bs synced up timer instead of showing the show for copyright

To be fair, Stan had all the time in the world to reflect on what happened while Ford's first priority was survival during his unwanted trip around the multiverse. Can't exactly think about a family relationship when you're worried about surviving the night, so to speak.

Ferret

I'm not thinking about 30 years ago, I'm thinking about 50. When he thought Stan did something stupid(er than Stan actually did), cut his brother and best friend completely out of his life, and apparently he was completely fine with that.

Jabriel Stockton
>>133983833

Yeah, when a brother you loved ruins your family chance at a better future (as his father said) it’s kinda hard to care for him or care about him when he basically ruined your family way out of a bad town

Jabriel Stockton
>>133953726

I think I know what you’re talking about and if so, I completely agree that episode really made me hate Mabel’s character

Jabriel Stockton
>>133950821

But it was in dipper bag, either way it just shows how selfish Mabel can be she knows it’s dippers bag and still gives his stuff away, we can even talk about when she took dipper journal without his permission in Sock opera

Clumsy
>>133950821

She trusted Blendin, and was horrified to see that he broke the rift, even BEFORE finding out it wasn’t Blendin. At worst she’s naive, this was def a bad call on Ford’s part

Darby

when montana said "what's the slap thing" i immediately knew she was talking about flex seal lol

With Ford, I feel like the central issue (back then) isn't so much Stan breaking the project... it's Stan betraying him. It's Ford confessing to Stan that he wants to go to that college, and then Stan (seeming to) betray Ford by purposefully ruining that chance. Hindsight is 20/20, but when Stan thought he broke the machine, he should have told Ford so Ford could try to fix it. Maybe it was subconscious, but Stan didn't WANT Ford to fix it and impress the college people. Unfortunately, when he responds to Ford's accusation, Stan sounds like he's making bad excuses rather than telling the truth -- or partial truth (Stan wasn't "horsing around", and there was no reason for him to go to the school at all at night). Then he leaps straight from the excuses to "but this is great because now we can do what *I* wanted to do!" (Stan never apologized to Ford; not in the past, and never that we saw during the show at all. So as much as Stan focuses on Ford - in the present - not saying "thank you", it's notable that Stan has never said, "I'm sorry.) Stan was the one person Ford thought he could count on. (Clearly neither of them could really count on their parents.) How terrible would it be to believe that one person betrayed you? Ford's lines about it are always about "you cost me my dream school", but that's more of a storytelling thing. And also... the fact that they're two men brought up during the 60s by a father who is clearly the poster guy for toxic masculinity -- neither of them are good at talking about their emotions. Especially in the moment, Ford probably could not have articulated to himself what exactly he was feeling. But he thought he could trust Stan, of all people, and finding out that he couldn't was devastating. And unfortunately, everything Stan says is the wrong thing to counteract that impression. And don't get me wrong -- I love Ford, but in this ep, I definitely feel he isn't in the right. He *is* projecting. And of course, ultimately, his trust issues are why Mabel didn't know what that "gizmo" was. You can blame her a tiny bit for giving away something that belonged to Ford (even Bill/Blendin says it belongs to her uncle); but she didn't know the significance of it, and that is down to Ford... and to Dipper. There are reasons for Ford's trust issues -- starting with feeling betrayed by Stan, and then later being SUPER betrayed by Bill -- but even if it's understandable, it leads him to make bad decisions.
