Shana

ON FATHERS' DAY!?AAAAAGGGHHH🤣

Kade_Kapes

If there’s one episode of tv that reminds me of my own Father, it’s definitely this one!

Juan Solo

Spoilers below (don't look Kenny!) Is it messed up that their reaction to all of the death and destruction makes me even more excited to see their reaction to JJK S2 episodes 16 and 17? I'm honestly hoping we get a double drop for those episodes.

Juan Solo

One theory I've heard (and agree with) is that during the last 20 years Nolan grew to love Debbie and Mark enough that he subconsciously didn't want Mark to develop his powers. He would've preferred waiting for Debbie and Mark to die of old age before continuing his mission, so they wouldn't have to see who he truly is (waiting 70 or 80 years wouldn't be a big deal for the Empire given their lifespan). Nolan was visibly upset when Mark revealed he got his powers back in episode 1. In that moment, Nolan knew couldn't put off his mission anymore. The part of him that cared realized he'd have to break their hearts.

Big K

Saying that yout wife is basically a pet to your son is wild

Juan Solo

I know you already have a list of shows lined up after Invincible, but I highly recommend Over the Garden Wall. It's a 10 episode miniseries with a Fall/Halloween theme, so the timing would be perfect (if you were to choose it, the finale would drop on the week of Halloween).

It’s always fun rewatching because it changes your perspective especially with certain words certain characters said “ I can always make another kid” 😂

blue_haruki

Attack on titan is like for kids if your comparing it to invincible

Big K

So basically Omni man is just the representation of the kids who get beaten and grow up thinking it’s right to beat your children.

blue_haruki

I hate amber soo much dude so does everyone she shouldn't have came back

Kade_Kapes
>>141008596

It’s crazy that you’re saying “so does everyone” on a channel of two people that literally like her.

blue_haruki
>>141008596

The entire community of invincible hates her you can watch any 1000 videos on youtube about why people hate amber

Letts React
>>141007502

Attack on Titan has people eating their mother, I think they’re at the very least comparable haha

blue_haruki
>>141008596

Two words on youtube "invincible amber" just scroll through and read the titles of the videos or watch some of them too

BLUEMONKEY18

Some fun context: Nolan is at least 2000 years old according to the official stuff, while he’s been on Earth for 20 years. 1/100th of his life has been on Earth and it has deeply impacted him but how can you turn your back on the last 2000 years? Nolan has almost certainly conquered many other worlds, how can this one be different? If this one shouldn’t be conquered, what does that mean for the dozens or maybe even hundreds of other worlds he’s had a hand in conquering? His internal struggle is my favorite thing about this show and I can’t wait for you guys to dig into more of it!

blue_haruki
>>141008596

I don't mean any type of disrespect I just don't wanna look like I'm the only one hating when there's videos on youtube

chris

mark really is invincible.. mark in his full suit kinda looks like neo with his glasses

freshfruitbox

“He just went through a fucking cruise ship” killed me 💀

Michael Nowicki

Spoilers below Exactly what I thought, I can’t wait to see their reaction to Sukuna waking up and showing them a major part of why it’s called the Shibuya incident

Julian

This is an INSANE Father’s Day post lmaooo, love yall

Day

what a fantastic father :D

KrakenKing

I think Nolan waiting for Mark to get his powers is more like he was hoping that Mark wouldn’t have powers, that way both Debbie and Mark would die from a natural human life span and he could just wait them both out before enacting the plan, because he didn’t want to involve his family. This whole episode changes when you realize that everything Nolan is saying isn’t necessarily him trying to scold Mark, but rather Nolan trying to convince himself that what he’s doing is right. You’ve gotta understand, Nolan’s lived for thousands of years, this is all he’s ever known for the longest time, and now he’s experienced personal growth while on Earth and thats really messing with him. I think the line “Yeah, yeah, your mother changed everything. She turned this from a job into a home.” is really important to think about.

Eric C

"I'd still have you, dad" on father's day is CRAZY

Suplee215

I take the reason Omni Man took so long that they were going for an easy win. I think the goal was to have earth surrender before it even knew they were at war. Omni Man was their greatest hero. Their icon. The one they relied on even after the guardians fell. How many will just willingly sign a peace treaty for advance aid from his planet nit realizing they're signing away their rights? If no one solves the guardians murder then the finale never happens. The world continues to build trust in Omni Man.

Æther Paradox

Are you going to watch the Adam Eve Special? It goes between season 1 and 2 and gives her backstory.

IzanagiAce

Im so glad that y'all explored Nolan's perspective throughout the episode, so many reactors ignore/miss that part of the story

Tim Chaos

Thanks for the early drop!

Graham

This is not a spoiler, just a little tidbit of info about Viltrumite culture and society. But Nolan’s job, to take Earth alone, is about as close as Viltrumites have to a vacation. It’s an assignment given as a reward to their most favored soldiers, and the planet is completely theirs to do with as they wish for 100 years. After which the Viltrumite will make preparations to assimilate it ahead of the arrival of an occupation fleet. Nolan really did, at least initially, start a family merely as recreation. Mark having powers does change things for a couple reasons, but those could be considered spoilers.

Jinchuriki87

Hey man, the "flip was switched" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 It's fun listening to some of your commentary and knowing what's in store for s2 Y'all are gonna Lose Your Minds 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Devon P

Ah yes the episode with the legendary "Pet" comment that nearly everyone reacted to the same way on instinct without considering the perspective of the person saying it. And holy snap these two immediately addressed that difference on the spot.

Devon P
>>141042042

It's cuz most people get lost in the pet comment that they don't bother to understand that perspective.

Gerardo Mendez
>>141070348

If you think about the scene with the pilots, him saying "now or 50 years what's the difference" Omni man is basically living among ants, ants don't live long, it's like you asking me that question while I'm shocked at you killing ants

Mara Camille (TheFlannelDeath)

22 minutes in and Montana looks sick and Kenny look angry and I'm just giggling. Jfc I love Invincible so much. What a great reaction so far.

Fries

fun little fact but omni-mans fortnite skin description says "not exactly father of the year"

Daran Tung

It all comes together

Ferret

The thing I love most about this episode is how it flips the Evil Superman trope on its head. Omni-Man was never Superman, he was Zod. Someone who thinks his powers and his "superior" biology means they're insignificant compared to him. *Mark* is Superman. Mark is, in every biological way, an alien as much as Clark, but like Clark he was raised as a human, with human beliefs and values and seeing himself as human even though he's actually not.

sadaholic

i don’t know if this is a spoiler or not so somebody please let me know if it is and don’t read this if you don’t want to get potentialy spoiled : viltrumites were sent to conquer planets and grow the empire. one of the ways to do this was to create viltrumite hybrids and see what’s most compatible. and when it comes to viltrumites, humans are the most compatible. so not only was omni man raising another viltrumite to help take over the planet, but he was seeing if earth can be used as breeding grounds

gamerx

You know this series main downside is the poor animation quality it's one of the very few things this series is criticized for constantly

talia from reincarnated as the 7th prince so i can take my time perfecting my magical abilitt

Micah Steinhoff

While I think that Amber "knowing" Mark was Invincible last episode was either A: Her lying, or B: Her being truthful, but unloading a huge bit of verbal abuse because she was so fed up with him lying, I think it honestly makes sense they'd try to make up after the whole finale fight. The entire reason Mark started to chose superhero-ing over his relationship because of the huge push from his father, a lie told to him that he must chose the superhero life because he's essentially indebted to his Viltrumite blood. He truly wanted to choose her again and again, but was always stopped because of Omni-Man's influence. Not to say they're a healthy couple, that's a whole 'nother can of worms.
