If memory serves, there's an episode in season 5 that explicitly sets up the movie. But it doesn't take place proper until after the season. So take your pick.

After episode 113 I think. Directly after finishing season 5. The anime took a really weird approach with season 5. In the Manga, the villain academia arc happens before the Endeavor Agency arc. The movie takes place after the Endeavor Agency arc but you're not skewing anything watching the rest of S5 before watching the movie

It is Canon. All movie characters appear in the Manga and Horikoshi himself has stated they're all Canon. It's definitely the most wild movie, but Canon nonetheless

There's a tie-in episode for the movie. It's S5E16. So anytime after then. Edit: Others saying to watch S5E18 make a good point, actually. So, yeah, I'd say to watch after that. The tie-in episode is S5E16, but something happens in S5E18 that is used in the movie.

The 2nd one is the least canon as it has the fewest references in the manga. The 3rd has way more references in the manga than the 2nd, with the first having the most references by far

It fits after the Agency Arc. It definitely still works at the end of season 5 due to the concurrent plots throughout the season though.
