The way Shigiraki's voice changed this episode is SO awesome from a voice-acting perspective. Good time to bring back up that he has the same VA as Kimblee from Fullmetal Alchemist.

People hate this arc in the anime but in the manga it is universally loved( I think besides japan)

H-Bomb 24

"Something can be better in the manga and still be good." THANK YOU, MONTANA!! All some people have been doing since you started season five is whine about how lackluster this season is in comparison to the source material, but that doesn't make it bad. Glad to find some people who can just enjoy something for what it is, not as they'd like it to be.

Just let us enjoy both. It's still MHA, I feel people discredit what animators can do. The original is almost always better. Doesn't mean we shouldn't enjoy the Creativity some try and add

So yeah when season 5 aired originally, the Japanese fanbase didn't really care for the My Villain Academia arc in the manga as much as Overhaul's arc or season 6's arc. So a lot of focus was not put on MVA. Also, during this time the 'World Heroes' Mission' movie was being made so ppl assumed that more of the team was animating the movie while a skeleton crew handled season 5. All of this led to the American fanbase being upset w the lack of detailed animation sequences in MVA (outside of the last fight w Shigaraki and ReDestro). Sorry for the long explanation but this was how it originally occurred when season 5 aired

I love when people bring up this fact! Shigaraki not longer having that shaky voice because he’s more confident and in control was very interesting on Eric Vale’s part, I honestly makes him sound scarier. You can definitely compare him more to Kimblee now. (Not like Trunks anymore I guess, with the lack of blue hair)

Whoa, I didn't know he was also Trunks. (I haven't watched Dragon Ball, but I know who that character is)

Ellie

"what are they gonna do in response to his power" can't wait for the reaction to Aizawa proving how necessary he is and how powerful his quirk is and also i can't wait for the reaction to That Moment

Definitely a cultural divide. Most of the League has a mindset that their tragic backstories mean they can do no wrong. They constantly fall back on their grievances of the past to justify bad actions in the present like children. That type of mindset shirks personal responsibility entirely. That's why this arc was so popular in the west but never resonated in Japan.

i love shigi's slight voice change when he destroyed his final hand, showing he's fully awakened his quirk.

I hope you guys react to young justice, i think you would really love it💜💚

I'm kinda surprised y'all didn't bring up the fact that shigarakis voice was different after he hit that moment of "freedom" It makes him more terrifying because instead of almost sounding unsure of himself...he sounds far more confident and determined

The hands are their dust compressed into a hand shape. They didn’t grab all their hands up and preserve them. That’s why he got an extra after killing the criminals
