JSB

Double post? Sweet!

James S

Say it with me everyone: “YOU ARE MY SPECIAL.”

AyBe

I hope you guys can check out the blu ray for this episode sometime! It adds 5 minutes of extra fight scenes between Sukuna and Mahoraga. it's crazier!

dom

first "your name" and now 2 jjk episodes 🙌

Manuel Mojica

I wouldn’t say Sukuna was feeling nervous or felt fear, instead he was learning what Mahoraga was capable of and stunned at how much he’s able to keep up

Cation

Let's goo!! I really hope that blu-ray dub is out soon! This wasn't even their finished product. Mahoraga is a scary scary thing to summon and just imagine that Megumi was close to summoning it back in season 1 episode 5 against Sukuna and in episode 23 against that special grade finger bearer. My man has always had the potential

Izrail Gevorgyan

Also notice the intro from this point forward, they’re a bit different

Relliar

I've wondered if the flame arrow is Sukuna's reversal of his ordinary technique, like the equivalent of Gojo's Red to his Blue.

gamerx

The blueray is a very minor upgrade it's a few more minutes of fighting and they added some more detail to some shots

GEORGE

im so not ready for the next 2 episodes

Big Fuze
>>150660297

Right, if sukuna thinks/ expects you to be strong, you are insanely strong, so what does that make you when you exceed those expectations

defnotdai

Yuji: 😣🤮😖 Show:🗣️ YOU ARE MY SPECIAL🤩🎶

Erin Ryan

Im pretty sure sukuna didn't have to make his domain expansion that big he just hate yuji that much

Ryan Torres

So now seems like a good time to remind everyone that the intro is from Sukuna's POV. The scene at the end is him essentially dancing in revelry over tormenting Yuji by making him his plaything. Or in this case, his SPECIAL. Also in world time, Sukuna only had control for about 23 minutes. And he did ALL THAT.

gamerx

Also Maho was unaffected by sukunas domain he made it big just to torture Yugi in fact he would normally make it bigger but potential man megumi was there

mal

yall should watch the blu ray version of this fight

Daaylen Watson

Sukuna is the epitome of “GG get shit on noob”

Daaylen Watson

Fushiguro was ready to crash out the last two seasons in almost every fight, Every fight he was trynna summon this shit LMAO

Justin Spencer

Mahoraga has finally entered the chat!!!!!! But we just getting started 😉

David

Im a little bit disappointed that the dub version of mahoraga has some dude groaning lol, in the original it has a cool weird sound that a person couldnt even make

Nova

This is the arc where Gege decided this isnt naruto

Eileen Hinman

Being FED with a second ep. Also i remember seeing people call him “big daddy ‘raga the op stoppa” and i will never forget that Jjk twt and tik tok during season two was so special lol

Nova

The difference with him summoning mahoraga now compared to the other times, is he was fully out of options. He was bleeding out and too low on cursed energy to use his domain. He had no way to win against haruta unfortunatly so using his trump card was more about making sure the other party looses with him.

Francisco Yang

The intro song is actually written from Sukuna’s perspective to Itadori, he’s taunting him. So at the end of the episode where Sukuna relinquishes control in front of all the destruction to torment Itadori, the song plays in parallel.

Francisco Yang

Also to specify, the Gojo vs Zenin clans beef was because one Gojo member with six eyes and limitless technique battled a Zenin member with the ten shadows technique in a spectated duel. Both of them died, and the beef stemmed from that battle. Megumi later says in the episode that the Zenin member likely used the technique in the same way he did (using it as a last resort), so the Zenin member likely died first, the Gojo member was included in the subjugation and lost, so both of them died.

Juan Solo

From what I understand, Sukuna only used Dismantle on Mahoraga for the majority of their fight. He fully intended to use Cleave to finish off Mahoraga via Malevolent Shrine. However, as the narrator pointed out, Mahoraga not only adapted to Dismantle but slicing in general. The surprise on Sukuna's face was him realizing this, prompting him to use the fire arrow as his backup.

Jacob Shelestak

So it's finally happened, as you've probably read by now the Mahoraga fight you saw was 33% done. Blue ray has the fully fleshed out, not dimmed masterpiece that is Sukunna vs Mahoraga. I hope you too can see that one day.

Juan Solo

Going back through this episode, you can see how Mahoraga adapts throughout the fight. • Mahoraga starts the fight by attacking with positive energy, but Sukuna isn't a cursed spirit so it eventually starts using cursed energy (Sukuna notices this at 16:36). • Whenever Sukuna starts tossing Mahoraga around, it grows in size to prevent this. • As Sukuna points out during the fight, Mahoraga adapted enough to his technique that it could perceive his slices (we the audience can also see Sukuna's slices from that point on, which is a cool detail). • When tossed in the pool, Mahoraga creates gills. There's probably more details like these in the full version of their fight.

blue_haruki

He was gonna summon that on todo

Keyon Tinnon

Kenny - "I don't know how it can get any worse" Everyone here - 😐

AJ Hutchinson
>>150669887

You beat me to it! Very important point cause I remember people hating the choice when it came out but I always disagreed!

Juan Solo
>>150662926

Its very likely an extension technique, rather than reversal. Like how Nobara has Hairpin and Resonance, or Nanami with Collapse.

Kiera Demian

The major difference between this fight and the original in the manga (besides the obvious) is that in the original there is a lot less back and forth between them and Sukuna is in control pretty much the entire time.

Kiera Demian
>>150683894

Not knocking the animators for extending the fight like this cause it was amazing to watch but I feel it is an important distinction

Joseph

Just imagine how much destruction Gojo and Sukuna would do

Binky

Montana saying " i dont know, he kinda looks like Gus Fring" 😭🤣

Braden Jackson
>>150669063

Yea and some people don’t know this but when the ritual is over Mahoraga would despawn so the damage done in the fight was just because it was prolonged by sukuna

Tyler Stone

i love that montana guessed his technique

Saiyasha

Yeah, I absolutely did not notice anything about his eyespikes the first time watching. I did look out for it here on the rewatch because I knew it was coming, but I am so impressed she saw it on her first go round.

Saiyasha

I want to remind everyone that Fushiguro thought about bringing Mahagora out _for fucking Todo._ Man's really like "If I'm going down, so is everybody else."

Saiyasha
>>150674990

No, I'm pretty sure he made the Mahoraga sign and that is also why Todo suddenly got exicted. But yeah. Megumi is _wild_ for that

Addy

Thanks for answering my question!!! Since we know that both the Zenin and Gojo clan heads died in the match, and Megumi saying “I imagine the clan head used this in the same way back then”, we can assume it’s an “I’m going down anyways so i’m taking you with me” situation. Neither of them walked out of the fight in the end. But, that doesn’t mean that you HAVE to give up your life to use Mahoraga. It’s just that no sorcerer has ever been able to subjugate and thus control Mahoraga. I guess “beat” was a strong word for me to use in the question. We definitely know that Mahoraga killed the Six eyes/limitless user.

Addy
>>150696441

Also, sorcerers who have the same technique are still different people. They have different levels of intelligence, strategy, and mastery. Truly anything is possible!

sav

megumi is that one kid where if one thing goes wrong he's gonna threaten to kill himself T_T cause what do u mean he was abt to bring out mahoraga to fight todo LOL

Addy

Also, perfect timing for a double release with the jjk manga ending yesterday! I needed to look back on these good times, if you can call them that lol

Sam L

"Who's there?! I have a belt, and I am NOT afraid to kill myself" "I'm losing? Nah dawg, WE'RE losing" "Oh, a minor inconvenience? WITH THIS TREASURE, I SUMMON..." These were all my favorite meme lines about Megumin and Mahoraga when the episode came out lmao, and if you rewatch JJK, you see just how MANY times Megumin tried to bring him out for the most minor things LOL

no u uwu

Even if you don’t record it. This is the only episode you really need to watch in blue ray, it adds a bunch of continuity to the fight plus like a minute(at most) of scenes, which is a lot of time in a fight this fast. Sukuna is such a menace.

mastertater

A lot the people who makes the episodes went on strike bc they was rush to put the episodes out

Keion Myrie

Yuji: goes through a crazy traumatic experience JJK: ⁉️⁉️🔊YOU ARE MY SPECIAL🔊⁉️⁉️

Braden Jackson

A few things you guys got wrong megumi was gonna use max elephant not Mahoraga on todo and 2 after the people in the ritual die Mahoraga would despawn so if he killed the pony tail guy then he would have died before sukuna could fight him so it wasn’t like megumi was gonna kill a whole town every time he was gonna use it it would guarantee that every one in his radius of about 20 meters would die

Mekar
>>150711291

A song about destroying Tokyo is fitting after Sukuna just destroyed Tokyo

Mekar
>>150696441

Maybe I'm overthinking it but we don't actually know this was used against the Gojo ancestor. That's just what Megumi thinks. Idk, he's probably right, but it's possible it was something else.

Isaac Davis

This fight when aired was only 30% finished, the blu ray has the entire fight and shows the amazing work of the animators.

Wil

need kennys version of "YOU CAN SEE IT MAHORAGA... YOU CAN SEE MY CURSED TECHNIQUE"

Hayden Cluckey
>>150683894

It’s not that they extreme fights. It’s that you are getting a fight through a drawing. This was prolly closer to what the creator wanted. But you miss a lot when limited by having to draw the story.

Hayden Cluckey
>>150674813

He also started swinging at the slices. To intentionally cut off his limbs and sling them at sukuna.

Juan Solo
>>150696441

I can't think of any other way the Zenin clan head could've bypassed the Gojo clan head's Infinity without summoning Mahoraga.

Ellie

Off topic, but I would love for both of you to rank all the anime you guys have reacted to so far! I’m really curious to see where you’d put everything

dannydarko27

Not only did Sukuna intervene to nullify the ritual but dude actually used reverse curse technique to keep Megumi from dying, then leaves him at the makeshift hospital; already a better dad than most anime fathers lmao

Stephan Braham

(The only thing the blu ray adds to is the fight with the rest is the same) This is incomplete it's about 30% the blu ray looks cleaner, longer and the sukuna vs maharaja fight itself is almost 17 mins long

Katsuki BakuGOAT

You should do a reaction to the blue ray when ur done with the season as an extra Kenny! Also, Ray KILLED it Voice Acting Sukuna in this episode.

Babybear47

Just Montana saying good game between sukuna and mahoraga love it

Calvin Boyce

Pretty sure Megumi summoned it because he felt like if he was going to die anyway, he might as well bring Ponytail with him.

Kieran Burke

Mahoraga swimming up the building was 👌🏼

Cation

The opening song makes a lot more sense when you listen to the lyrics while re watching the horrors of Shibuya.

Dino I

13:28 u can see a pochita cameo

Peter Miigua

The six eyes/limitless user didn’t lose to the ten shadows user back then. They both ended up dying, probably due to Mahoraga being untamed killing its summoner and the limitless user

Braden Jackson
>>150696441

Spoiler warning . . . The 10S CT has 1 other shikigamy that has a small chance at disrupting infinity

Braden Jackson
>>150693952

He was gonna use Max E on todo that’s why todo got exited because megumi was summoning a lot of CE for the shikigamy megumi had only used Big Raga in moments where his life was gonna end if something else didn’t intervene and he heard todo say himself that he wasn’t going to kill him

Braden Jackson
>>150711291

Yea the song also portrays the dark cycle of jujitsu in the show I really like this intro

chris

yall should at some point watch the blue ray version.. it has a bunch of extra moments

JStorm96

Think of the intro song being from Sukuna to Yuji, Sukuna calling him 'his special one' makes sense of playing the intro there.

Kristopher Sy

If you listen, there's a gear turning sound at multiple points in the fight, that was when Mahoraga adapted to any problems that he encounters. Obviously he adapted to being slashed by healing faster, he got stuck by the cables binding him to the cars and debris and adapted to be strong enough to pull it easily. And Megumi did try to summon Mahoraga against Sukuna when Yuji first died, and when Todo was beating him up, then the fight against Hanami.

Day
>>150711291

Still mad bc the bass in the ed song would've been SO much more heart wrenching tbh

Day
>>150701070

He still tries to bring it out several times tho

Day

Sub voice actor trivia for you! But Yuji's japanese VA recorded the ending scene on the ground in the same position as Yuji is shown

Day

I've noticed recently I ask "what's your psychoanalysis of—" a lot ... 😂

Erin Ryan

Megumis technique: doggies, bunnies, froggys, Eight-Handled Sword Divergent Sila Divine General Mahoraga

OMi26

Now JJK2 officially the Anime Opening will varies between episodes

지원 우

Sukuna is more strong than gojo

Skye

does anybody know where i can suggest a showw?

christopher scott

In then sub version I believe he says the word of what he’s opening with the fire.

Rudy Velazquez

Everything is terrible “you are my special” - jjk basically

sleepyrize

please do a reaction to the blu ray version i would love to see your reaction<3
