If Kaiju No. 8 is indeed next, then there are a couple things you should know, Kenny: 1) DON'T WATCH ANY TRAILERS. This is one you wanna go in blind, at least fir the first episode, trust me. 2) The opening and closing songs are both in English and sung by non-Japanese bands (YUNGBLUD and OneRepublic). I dunno if that'll make copyright harder or not, but I figured I should tell you.

Jimmy

If yall dont end up watching Kaiju, would love to see a Dan Da Dan reaction!

HBelmont 24

This is the first time the cyberskeleton has been mentioned, so you're good, Kenny. 👍

Kristopher Sy

Gotta enjoy seeing the best girl Rebecca being a little gun-toting goblin. With what Doc said, it just fits the ever present theme of night city, everyone comes there to live like a legend, but only to be the cause of their own end. No one there has a happy ending.

HBelmont 24

Seriously, there NEEDS to be a "Becca's the Best" Counter; she deserves it.

would we be able to get a screenshot sometime of the lettsreact patrons list? i’ve always wanted to find my name but been able to find it on the video

Raven

So excited for Kaiju no 8!!!

Ramon Fax!

You guys can't do a small poll for a 12 episode series?

Rob Carlstrom

Hey thanks for answering my question!! And then Montana instantly answered with what I think too lol

These next couple weeks are going to be so long! I remember when I watched this for the first time, I had planned on stopping after episode 8 for the evening. Then they had to end like this... So I was like "fine...one more episode" and rolled into 9... then 10. Then I went to YouTube and discovered the music video had just been released that same day. It was great times.

HBelmont 24

Aside from Kaiju No. 8, what else did you have in mind? I suggested Buddy Daddies a while back

"Never trust anyone in Night City." - Kiwi, several times. She told y'all. Admittedly, even Maine said the same thing. I think we just tend to misunderstand the level of trust or community at work. But when everyone's fighting and killing to eat? Loyalty is a luxury. Maine was the exception and tried to make that clear.

Juan Solo

I've only seen the first episode, but I really liked it. Definitely need to get back on it (Frieren too).

Juan Solo

If Wednesdays are open to western shows too, I'd advocate again for Over the Garden Wall (only 10 episodes). In the event you change your mind about Kaiju No. 8.

HBelmont 24

I think Kenny said Over the Garden Wall will likely come after Arcane season two, as it's short enough for the wait for Invincible season three in February. Man, he's good at planning out their schedule. 👏

HBelmont 24

Also, the last time she worked with Maine was when he went cyberpsycho and knocked her out cold in the middle of a deep dive. Now David's seems to be going on a similar path? In hindsight, yeah. It unfortunately makes sense that she did what she did. 🫤

HBelmont 24

Yeah, you better, considering Frieren is ALSO coming soon (next week, in fact, after JJK 😅)

Zach Tobias

Can we watch heavenly delusions please look into it. It's my favorite anime

Vextipher

Really think you all would love Ranking of Kings. A lot of great characters and intrigue to the story.

Letts React

I (Kenny) have seen it and it’s sooooo good

Cheyanne sadly has passed away :( happened about a year ago, but we love and cherish her every day and honor her memory!

Swanzy

Oooo would you'll consider watching Apothecary Diaries? Great storyline and it has drama, thriller vibes and its funny 😁

Cloudboyx

I hope you end up playing the game as more projects centered in this world are on the horizon.

David’s Sandevistan is made by Militech, specifically it’s an “Apogee” model. Top-of-the-line even by Sandevistan standards, it’s the fastest and most versatile model available. In the game it’s typified by a unique perk, instead of activating and draining the super-speed duration all at once (for example activating and then having say, fifteen seconds of continuous slowdown before a recharge time), you can switch it on and off at will, draining a gauge that recharges quickly when it’s off. This makes it a far more powerful and useful combat ability than other models. If you spec into perks that give you cyberware recharge on kills, you can essentially use it without limit as long as you keep the streak going.

Graham

I feel like Montana is right about it just being capitalism. David is essentially a model citizen of Night City, he’s trying to grind his way to the top, criminal or not. He’s bought a fancy house, an entire range of top-end consumer cyberware. He’s done everything he could to make money and escape his past circumstances. That’s the thing about capitalism, to escape its worst, most coercive effects you have to engage with it harder and in more ruthless fashion than those around you. Every big Merc of Night City legend felt the same way, that they were special, faster, stronger, a better shot. But the city gets them every time and all that’s left is maybe a drink named after them in Afterlife.

Bread&Jam Reacts
