HELL YEAH HERE WE GO DEKU THE GOAT

yob

we in peakville

HBelmont67

From this point on, EVERY. SINGLE. EPISODE is masterful.

HBelmont67

REALLY looking forward to next episode . . . 🐙

HBelmont67

Now that we know them all, what's everyone's favorite OFA Quirk? Still between Blackwhip and Float for me.

Madison Perez

The part where Deku is hyperventilating and the small “Ka” sound comes out as he tries to say Kacchan always gets me 😭😭😭

yob

RIGHT ITS SO SAD😭😭

Kevin De Bruyne

genuily woke up have finals but thought of this first

yob

blackwhip because spiderdeku is a W

Joe Duncan

Cant wait until the next episode

Scythe

When Kudo, the 2nd One for All user/gearshift owner says Deku is operating at 120 percent beyond his perceived limits, I wonder if he truly means Deku temporarily used OFA at 120% with no drawbacks or the combined power of Fa Jin and Gearshift took Deku's 45% mastery of OFA to 120%

Lyrical Kell of Music

2 things, one thing I like is that dekus 120% isn’t just a mind set like the 1 million in season 3. Deku has good control but not mastery of the quirks yet at their highest level so he can’t go 100% with just strength or it will still hurt him, he is still at 45 but with the combo of quirks he really is able to outpace the insane base strength of OFA. 2nd thing is while the recaps are still unnecessary i get why they are their, if I remember right, during this time the Olympics were happening and that just completely jumbled the airing schedule

ssgutd

Deku getting the YOU SAY RUN MOMENT ❤️🙌🏻 episode made me emotional the first time I saw it out of pure happiness Tbh though the best animated episode of the season and possibly the whole series is still to come… 7x19 is probably my favorite episode in the whole show 🙌🏻

HBelmont67

Sorry, but "best animated" is a high bar for this show, and saying this episode counts is being generous.

HBelmont67

Dude, Ethan and the rest of the American pilots are like the Chimeras from FMAB. When they clutch up, they're the MVP!

Puba

Love y’all’s reaction and always enjoy the discussions afterwards. We are at peak MHA right here. Midoriya’s inner nerd “analysis” coming clutch always makes me happy. Can’t wait for the next one ☝🏽. And “dry phone, dry skin” was crazy work Kenny 😭🤣🤣

EnderAnnie Post

May I please ask: Can I please make a suggestion on which anime to watch next?

Noboi

Darius, Heinkel, Jerso, and Zampano babyyyyy

Noboi

Deku really walks a razor thin line of being badass and being adorable

ssgutd

I agree. I love the battle and the soundtrack goes crazy. Kohei Hirota did his thing, but he’s had better cuts. Overall a greatly animated episode, but the last three episodes this season I think go harder with the animation and we get a Nakamura cut on 19 too 🤩

Rhythem

LET'S GOOOOOOOO

yob

it's a forbidden request

HBelmont67

Wdym, he's always been both. 😅

HBelmont67

Seeing the after images of Deku when he uses Gearshift reminds me of David's Sandevistan from Edgerunners.

Tigerclaw

Honestly it's one of my favorite episodes of this season even with all the other peak episodes lol

Juan Solo

Justin Briner knocked it out of the park this episode. "Gearshift: Overdrive!" gave me chills.

HBelmont67

I feel you. LOVE the characters at the center finally getting their time in the spotlight.

yani

Deku getting his 'arriving just in time' hero moment like all other big anime hero's, hes grown up so much!

Juan Solo

Gearshift (the upgraded version, at least) has to be my favorite Quirk. Super speed is one of the two abilities I'd want as a power. I would've liked to have seen a proper speedster student/hero in the series, but I guess they'd be too OP for a lot of previous battles without some kind of limitation (which would explain Gearshift's time limit).

yani

Deku and Mirio to shigaraki ''you got no friends! you got no ground! you want some?''

Stache King

Gearshift is such a fantastic quirk, but not without a big drawback.

HBelmont67

Arguably Deku's biggest, especially since this was his first time using it.

Braden Jackson

It was great to see it before the reveal I thought it was gonna be something like wall stick with the amount of spider man related quirks but this was much better

Letts React

SAME but one thing i was missing was a single “THIS IS FOR HURTING KACCHAN” when hitting Shigaraki haha

Braden Jackson

Yea super speed is my favorite super power to see used in action

Noboi

True lol

Babybear47

Smoke screen was upped like gearshift in a way cuz before smoke screen wasn't able to go as far as deku makes it to be. But over all gearshift maybe the most powerful being the second users. (Adding to what Kenny said with question 2)

Babybear47

Shoto cought Bakugo when deku got upset that all for one/shigaraki first fought

Babybear47

As edshot is giving his life to give to Bakugo.... It's not funny... but also not wrong...

Babybear47

Black whip added more availability to even get to the the coffin in the sky. That in itself is cool (adding to what Kenny said 36:37)

Gestrid

I just noticed: Shigaraki mocks Deku about "not taking responsibility" for not being there when he should've been. But, at the end of the episode, Shigaraki does exactly that. He blames the heroes and the arena for not being able to win and does exactly what he mocked Deku about.

Noboi

Best piece of trivia about gearshift is that Deku apparently doesn’t need to do that specific motion with his arm. He just does that for himself lol

Gestrid

Next stop: GOAT Town!

Noboi

In all seriousness, Mirio’s interaction with Shigaraki was great. Goes to show that both him and Deku are the first heroes to actually approach him as a person

HBelmont67

That would've been LAAAAAAME, especially since Tsu already does that. Like, we already have Deku stealing Sero's thunder with Blackwhip. 😅

HBelmont67

Going back to season one is like night and day.

HBelmont67

Also, this isn't even a top five You Say Run moment, imo. I liked the music in the first part of this episode's fight more, tbh.

Letts React

It was his plan all along I believe as an actor! I think he wanted to show the journey from boy to man, and WOW it’s paying OFF

Minus Mega

Rewatching this show as an anime watcher that hasn’t seen the series conclusion is so emotionally difficult right now lmao

HBelmont67

Probably helps visualize, like the egg in the microwave

HBelmont67

That you would, dude. And we all wish it could've been that way. 😔

Subaru130

My favorite detail is that one of volume extras made a point to say Deku doesn't know how to drive, so he doesn't even know how a gearshift actually works. He's probably just imagining it based on TV shows or movies.

Subaru130

I really wish we got to see Gearshift outside of the big battle because it really is the perfect hero Quirk. Being able to slow people without worrying about inertia means you never have to worry about Gwen Stacy-ing a civilian while trying to save them.

dannydarko27

One of my favorite details is how when this battle began Eraser and Monoma were barely touching hands, but as they grow weary and tense from the battle, the way they touch hands changes. They went from just making contact with the backs of their hands, to full on clutching with all their might. Just a tiny detail showing not only their mindset but their current strength, needing more contact as the time passes

Belly

will you guys ever watch young justice?

Jinchuriki87

To add to gearshift coming later...for me I feel like it HAD to be locked until deku could break a certain threshold of mastery with O4A. The super strength ALONE was prone to breaking him. Imagine if he tried to break the SOUND BARRIER before he had the control he has now...there'd probably be nothing left to identify 🤣🤣 Great video yall! As others have said, the season STAYS this amazing for it's remainder!

Kiribukai

This episode just hypes me up so much, I feel like I could go run a marathon right now 🤣 But seriously, this Deku is just absolutely peak. I could watch this fight over and over again all day long. And gearshift is the coolest freaking quirk of all time, especially now that is has been leveled up by One for All.

Kiribukai

Also, I feel so honored that one of my questions got answered in this video. I got so excited when Kenny asked it lol 😆

Kiribukai

UGH THE SOFT LITTLE “KA” LITERALLY KILLED ME 😫😭

HBelmont67

That's funny. How does driver's ed work in Japan? 😅

Erin Ryan

Gwen Staying is diabolical

HBelmont67

They actually watched the pilot episode years ago when deciding what to watch after Legend of Korra.

Saiyasha

I actually think that if Mirio hadn't stepped in, AFO!Shiggy may have succeded with his "break his soine" plan. That's kinda the thing: MHA doesn't _do_ anger powerups. Every single time it happens, it backfires on the heroes. -Tokoyami during the Training camp: He got angry that Shouji got hurt and all it did was make him lose so much control over dark shadow that _he_ hurt Shouji - Iida loses himself in anger and almost immediatly gets taken down by Stain -Deku loses his mind because Bakugo gets stabbed and it takes AFO literal _seconds_ to grab hold of him Dekus real power is his mind. His ingenuity and his versatility. When he loses himslef in anger, he just becomes a fighting machine and, as AFO said. predictable.

BojacksReacts

I love how they brought back the s4 fight feel, with deku vs overhaul

HBelmont67

I don't get why they're so psyched with Deku "finally" getting his "You Say Run" moment, considering he's already had like four other instances. Between running to the sludge villain in season one, dueling with Todoroki in season two, fighting alongside All Might in the Two Heroes movie, and defeating Flect Turn in the World Heroes Mission movie, this is not the first time.

kkoolaidss

Sludge villain he got saved by all might, he lost against todoroki, first movie it was him AND all might, and in the recent movie nobody saw him against flect, and who cares about flect. So yeah, this is HIS you say run moment

Letts React

He hasn't gotten one in the show really where its just him :) this is the first time he fully handles the situation

Isiah Kai

Ken:this is his biggest smash Me who’s read the manga:oh you have noooooo fucking idea how big the smashes are gonna get

Bryan

Deku turning into Luffy was not something I was expecting

SnowPossum000

I had not noticed that until now, thank you!

bino

Watch fire force!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wisdom Abrahamson

17:59, they’re probably setting up something insane like they used to be partners or something

Charley Cox

God dammit I hate these nothing episodes
