Let’s GOOO!!!

NasOKM

You guys made my day 🔥🔥🔥 Jin WWOOOOOSKKIIIII IS HIM!!!!!!

HBelmont67

So, when is the rest of Kaiju No. 8 supposed to drop?

Limini

according to schedule next Tuesday and Wednesday

Limini

JUST finished the last episode and wishing for the next

no u uwu

Ayo & that’s also the 3rd instance where a persons tried to murder him(that’s what he means saying “that’s 3 times”)

Limini

Necromancy = turning your enemies into friends = involuntary power of friendship (post death)

HBelmont67

Don't work too hard on uploads, Kenny.

Limini

his back looks like butt cheeks the animators love doing that

NasOKM

Pretty sure yall figured it out, but the last scene is just meant to be a huge misunderstanding. Wooaki has no type or romantic feelings for the girl, dialogue just seemed misleading as a gag

Limini

when they retested him he was fresh out of the double dungeon and still an e-rank since he hadn't time to level up yet

Limini

There are NO evil horses!

Daniel

I find it funny how we just watched Frieren talk about respecting the dead and then here Jin woo straight up summoning them

Limini

jinwoos va latest role was Jiji from dandadan and he did amazing too. Defo on the rise

Gwendolyn Vrisala

Oh no... why did I just think sometime in this show, someone he cares about dies and he might try to bring them into his army. Now whether that's because he doesn't want to let them go, or he thinks that might "save them", it'll be interesting/heartbreaking to see. Because, ultimately, he's not been all that emotional as of late, and a switch to that might be really impactful.

Limini

jinwoos naming sense is so funny

Limini

so funny seeing how pulling aggro still works on intelligent monsters

Limini

for real, what happened to rest in peace 😭😭😭 treating corpses as loot, no respect for the living either

Limini

For people not knowing Kim Chuls name mean Iron and jinwoo gave him the name iron (as in Iron in English compared to Korean) and that's kind of chuuni behavior, renaming things in English to sound cooler

Limini

It defo was intentional like at his level jinwoo could have just knocked him out instead of killing him in the first place and he thought about needing a new soldier with that guys sword in the frame and then kicking that sword to him so Kim chul could attack him

Limini

I love that the shadow soldiers still have so much personality but the implications that they are not mindless soldiers is kind of terrifying

Limini

the way how in the end talked about how it was a lot of effort for nothing or little loot was so chilling, like 6 other people died in that dungeon

Limini

the post discussion fits the frieren post discussion is so well lol

Limini

He WAS midfight but he also had his hands in his pockets mid fight

Computer7412

During the ice elf fight they focused on the sword (A ranker's) being next to jin woo then he dashes sending it back the A ranker wakes up with it right next to him. Jin Woo knew the A ranker would try to attack him again and he couldnt take the elf alone so he set it up so he could quickly kill and resummon without the elf or the rest of the party knowing. Least thats what i got from the books. PS: AniNews on YT goes into what was cut from the books if youre interested.

Limini

Right now he only has a handful of people he cares about. Number one dying being his mom lol

Scythe

Cool detail about the shadows so far; when a significant enemy is killed and recruited into the shadow army, the wounds that killed them are reflected in their shadow form. For Igris, it's the stab wound in his right eye and for the head ice bear, it's the slashes and killing blow from Igris in Ep 1 of this season.

HBelmont67

Poor Jinho at the end. Boy's so confused. 🤣🤣

Braden Jackson

Dang you guys are on fire 🔥 with the releases thank you

Daniel

Ikr 😂

Scythe

To commentate on the end of the episode and the misunderstanding between Jinwoo and Jinho, there are multiple instances of Jinwoo not picking up on social cues and the behavior of others, for example in the spider dungeon, he was wondering what got into Jinho when he started calling him boss, not 'Oh he's calling me boss bc he's afraid of me and knows what I'm capable of.' so here he doesn't think of what Jinho is thinking about.

Kleed44

I just keep reminding myself that the horse is evil lmao

Day

They didn't explain very well but, if I remember correctly: Normal gates > can go in and out of freely, each gate is like it's own little world and usually in an underground area, time flows the same as outside Red gates > more open area to roam, not necessarily in underground area, time passes quicker than outside and you cannot leave the gate unless completed, dungeon break occurs (after 7 days real-world time), or by death

Kleed44

Aleks Le has such range as a VA too - like the fact he's Zenitsu is crazy

Day

Jinwoo being grumpy that he couldn't add Barak to his shadow army is played off more comical in the manhwa 😂 I'm kinda sad they left it out

Shaoix

Aleks ale is also the current VA for Shinji in Bleach TYBW

Day

Lol lets not forget the Giants #1 through #28 when he was feeling lazy 😭

CadeNoCap

The fact that Jinwoo is still technically an A rank here is crazy. Baek would’ve folded him without igris but bros aura is already off the charts and nowhere near its peak

Day

The 3 times Jinwoo may have been referring to was possibly the amount of times he's had to reveal to others in a gate that he's stronger than E rank now?

Sergio

During a battle (life/death) situation, you do NOT have the luxury of running through 7 diff. scenarios before you act. You hesitate = **YOU DIE**. He was attacked >> neutralized the threat (his death was near-instant, no suffering was involved) >> there is now a "new asset" (A Rank Fighter) available for the NEXT IMMEDIATE threat >> "Arise" ==> WIN the battle and LIVE!!! **Also, to Montana, he wasn't "resisting", it was a TAUNT skill. You see him use it initially in the first episode when they go up against the ice bears** There was NOT any malevolence in his logic, or decision. AND YES!!!; if you come at me, with MURDEROUS intent, and I put you down immediately, I would EASILY take your soul for as long as I needed lol!!

Day

If I'm not mistaken, when jinwoo realized him and igris weren't enough to kill Barak, he thought of Chul and was like "he should be waking up soon" and formed a plan to use him from there in the manhwa/novel

CadeNoCap

He did. They cut it in the anime but if you notice, Kim Chuls sword was next to Jinwoo and a few frames later it was on the ground by Kim Chul. Jinwoo kicked it towards him to basically entice him to attack thus justifying the “self-defence”

Sergio

Well said. Jinwoo, because on the inside he is still a small/awkward young man, has NO IDEA about the RIZZ he has released onto THAT "Underage" girl. To Jinwoo, he is just talking to one of his sisters friends/potential recruit, and is talking to her without any ulterior motive that another predatory man would do. Which is why, his response was "What about it?" to Jinho. Jinho, on the other hand, WAS BEING A STANDUP GUY and calling out that fact to HOLD HIS FRIEND ACCOUNTABLE!! GO JINHO!!

HBelmont67

MAN, I wish I had watched these episodes on the big screen when I had the chance. 😩

HBelmont67

The way Jinwoo was chastising Iron. He's like a dog. 😂

King Gluzzy

Great reaction but god these dubs are horrible (I understand why they watch not hating clearly I support I’m subbed on here but god I wish companies would hire better voice actors😭) keep up the great work guys

Teib _21

from what I remember, He is already at S-rank level here, like enough to fight Baek, but since S-ranks are the Highest and unmeasurable level for hunters, the gaps between S-ranks vary.

CadeNoCap

I may be misremembering but I was under the impression he was at BEST a very low s rank at this point. I started reading the Manwha right after the red gate. But at this point, Igris and Baruka are the only 2 S-rank monsters he’s defeated. If you’ve read the Manwha you know about Igris and Baruka was in a 3v1 and holding his own easily (and he also couldn’t be added to the shadow army which is why I feel he was more likely still high A rank or just barely S)

Braden Jackson

Deku really thought he was Sung Drake Woo

Braden Jackson

I thought almost every actor did great what where the bad moments for you?

King Gluzzy

Like the side characters mostly like voices don’t match the characters to me like some hit and some are really bad like hwang’s for example it just doesn’t fit his character in my opinion but that’s me if other people like it great and glad they enjoy it just not for me yk but ima still tune in

Raven

I think the reason that Iron had red eyes and then the elf boss had red eyes is because Iron was using a taunt skill, which in other scenarios like games and stuff, forces an enemy to attack the tank. If you look back at each scene, whenever Iron screams and there's a red aura, the elf boss gets red eyes and INSTANTLY switches targets to attacking Iron. It happened about 2 or 3 times in that fight, so I'm pretty certain that's what that is. Definitely useful to have a taunt skill on your tank in an army haha

HBelmont67

Dude, don't ask why people think modern dubs suck. It's never for objective reasons.

Cosmic Youth

Like Kenny said, killing him in self defense is absolutely understandable, but enslaving his soul for all eternity is insane. That's demon behavior

CadeNoCap

He’s referring to it being the 3rd time he’s had to kill a human in a gate

Christian F

Yes, that is the third time he has been forced to kill people.

Braden Jackson

I can see what you mean if your coming from sub thank you for understanding tho

Limini

"Forced" in this instance is debatable

Limini

let's not spoiler but yeah the next one he's naming also had zero love behind it. Igris was lucky he could keep his name

Sergio

Or.....OOOORR, your soul is now the spoils of war. Perhaps he should have made better life choices and NOT attack someone when their back is turned. Also, if we're being technical, Jinwoo didn't kill him. Idris, who will PROTECT his Liege by any means necessary, is the one who made him take his forever nap. Not by order of Jinwoo but, as a guardian. In closing, we have seen the demons of this world, they cannot imprison a soul for later recall; Therefore, I would have to describe that Jinwoo is exhibiting behavior more akin to a Deity in nature.

HBelmont67

You should DEFINITELY make an "It's lit!" edit for Deku, Kenny. 😅 Any chance it could fit for season seven? If not that, then the You're Next movie.

Letts React

OHHH ITS TAUNT I KNOW THIS AS A DND PLAYER

Letts React

“Your soul is now the spoils of war” is a TERRIBLE take haha that’s just diabolical

Rudy Velazquez

I hope you see this - there is actually a canon explanation that does justify this horse being murdered.

Rudy Velazquez

Also i say we do dandadan for more aleks

Erin Ryan

Jinwoo also doesn't understand that hes very attractive now lol

ZestyBlaze (edited)

2026-09-19 15:00 Yeahhh three times is he has killed people a total of three times. The hunters in episode 6, the assassin and then now this guy. And it almost seems like it's getting easier for him

EndSoul995

Please Jin Woo I neeed thiss. My shield kinda broke and the Elves are kinda strong

Slujan2

Barely S rank at the end. Baek had inner monologue cut from the anime that he says himself, if he had to fight Jinwoo right then and there, he would win, but would lose at least an arm to Jinwoo. Also, yeah, Baek had no clue about Igris or the army, so he probably would have lost due to lack of information on Jinwoo despite being barely stronger 1v1.

Slujan2

One reason he was also super pissed was cut from the anime. He briefly shows that he only got this and lifts one of the daggers that Baruka used In the manhwa, he shows that he got BOTH of Barukas daggers, which had a set bonus that increased his damage done while using both daggers. If you remember towards the END of the fight, Jinwoo BROKE one of the daggers that Baruka was using. Because one of the daggers was broken, he isnt able to equip both and make use of the bonus, so he effectively only got one item from all of that despite getting the set. Also, Jinwoo did manipulate the situation mid fight to goad Kim into killing him. There is a frame that Kenny paused on where Kims sword is next to Jinwoo, and then we next see it next to an unconscious Kim. In the manhwa, it shows he deliberately kicks the sword to him so that when he wakes up, he has something to potentially charge him with, HOPING he charged him with it. Also Also, Kim wasnt resisting, as said by others, it was a taunt skill to draw the boss towards him, we have seen this skill used by the older brother he killed in S1. Also Also Also, remember that he does have the option to RELEASE shadow soldiers if he either does not have room, or no longer wants them (as seen when making room for Igris in S1). So there is still a chance he releases Iron after he no longer needs him or gets a better tank. Also Also Also Also, Falling in Reverse jumpscare from Kenny

HBelmont67

Montana was SO heated about Jinwoo killing the horse. 🤣🤣

Braden Jackson

When I saw this I originally thought jinwoo was going to release Kim once the boss was killed but it intrigued me that he chose to keep him I also don’t know if he was resisting or not because before the first taunt he was show struggle much more than any other time if he was just using the ability but it could just be because it was his first time using it as a shadow

Braden Jackson

I didn’t know about the double dagger thing if I was jinwoo I would have been pissed to those would be the perfect weapon for him

Braden Jackson

Also we saw jinwoo could knock him out with one hit igeris could easily knock him out with the butt if his sword and jinwoo didn’t even think about releasing Kim’s soul after the boss was defeated so it is a morally questionable thing for jinwoo to do

KaladinStormLight

Sungs shadow army limit is like 50 at the moment and as you can imagine it will go up later in the story

Sergio

Hmmm, interesting. You'd have Igris knock him out, giving an A RANK hunter the opportunity to revive again at another point and attack, WHILE STILL dealing with an overpowered assault from a higher foe? That strategy doesn't appear too sound. Now, the "moral" aspect you spoke of; I find it VERY ethnocentric to use your own morals whilst judging the actions of another person, from another country, in ANOTHER world, as the standard? For the world and environment he is in, I find his morals to be pretty sound, considering his potential. .....Food for thought

Letts React

*Jinho offscreen* "Man Jinwoo why you trying not to laugh thats disrespectful maaaan"

Ferret

Jinwoo coldly executes a human being in order to enslave his soul eternally in a shadow army. Montana: I think this is justified in the situation. Jinwoo kills a monster horse to remove an enemy advantage. Montana: You're on thin ice buster brown.

Braden Jackson

I bring up morals because we see his in the beginning of the series and also he didn’t have to knock him out he could have but killing him is justified but taking his soul till the end of your days isn’t especially when he can let him go I don’t hate jinwoo for this but that doesn’t mean it isn’t F up

Braden Jackson

Also if jinwoo slamming his palm on him knocked him out for half the fight then yea Igris slamming down the butt if his sword would make him go down for a long time … Food for thought

Alseriph

Speaking on Jinwoo’s VA, Aleks Le, he’s been a in a lot of stuff, just not a lot y’all have seen. He’s in Vinland Saga, Dandadan, Tokyo Revengers, and Mashle. He’s a main or prominent character in all those shows.

ItzWicho

An important thing that Iron’s fight with Barca shows us is that he was DEFINITELY strong enough to beat ice elves (at least the non boss ones) when in top condition. His total loss along with his team was 100% because they didn’t have food and they didn’t have cold weather gear. It took them around three days to find the elves with no supplies and then he ran alone for another 4 days. It’s still his fault due to leaving the others behind, but he wasn’t only making excuses when he found Jinwoo’s group.

Braden Jackson

Yea he could have put up a good fight if he had the E and B ranks to help with food and supplies even if he thought they were weak

Kristopher Sy

Montana: Horses are not capable of evil Me thinking about those carnivorous horses the Heracles had to clean the stables of

Nils Hollbauer

just for you since the Anime wont explain the Shadow Soldiers dont need mana to be summoned. he has a amount he can have and they require mana to regnerate and if he says Arrise this also costs mana. so as long as they dont get hit they dont even use mana

Cyan_Sky9135

He is however nerfed by only be allowed to extract 3 times. I think its 3 times per gate but I dont know that for a fact. If its not three times per gate then it must be set on a timer. idk.

Cyan_Sky9135

I'm probably wrong about this, but I was thinking when Iron screams and the elves eyes turn red it forces him into a blood-lust state(if thats the right word) and forces the targets attention on Iron, thus giving Jin Woo(now I know I'm getting that name wrong lol) an opening. If I'm right of course. If not then I dont know. Also I'm confused about why Iron was huge and could have a hammer. I suppose its possible that he simply had a hammer on him along with the sword but other than that I just dont know.

renuzui

I knew she would be 😂

renuzui

I think ZestyBlaze’s comment of “it’s getting easier for him [to kill people]” has less to do with talking about Jinwoo’s powers or physical strength, and more to do with the fact that Jinwoo seems to have become accustomed to killing humans. I mean, he had a whole internal crisis the first time it happened. The second time it occurred he seemed a lot less stressed over it. And this time he killed Kim with seemingly zero hesitation or regrets. Jinwoo has sort of acknowledged this before, but he’s obviously become quite cruel.

renuzui

He’s in everything I’ve watched lately and he is so goated!! 😅

Braden Jackson

I believe it works that he has 3 attempts to revive a strong fighter like what we saw with igris

Radoodies

It’s 3 times per person or monster

Kevin De Bruyne

montana trying to defend sung but hes got enough sass to defend himself

Nerd Girl

I do believe it is a "Taunt" skill that pulls agro from enemies. That's a pretty common skill for Tanks in video games.

Briermatch

Jinwoo was not in danger from Kim imo. He definitely didn't need lethal force to get rid of him and made the active decision to kill him just to add him to the army.

Renn.88

Speaking on that scene with the 3 of them in the car, you have to remember that even though Jinwoo's physical appearance and attitude have changed, he still has some of the traits he did at the start of the series. He was a scrawny little E rank hunter with pretty much nothing going for him. I sincerely doubt he had any luck with the ladies before he got ripped and turned into a giga chad. If you think back to the early episodes of Season 1, right after he got shredded, a nurse thinks hes hot, she gets flustered and asks him for his number. He doesnt even think its a romantic thing in the slightest. He default assumes its to call him about test results. This is the same scenario. His brain doesnt even fathom the idea that Jinho thought he was sleeping with the girl, because thats just not a thing thats been present in his life. Hes a jacked, shredded at least A or B Rank amazing hunter, but deep down inside, hes still the scrawny nerdy E Ranker he was at the beginning. Thats why he says "what about it" when Jinho asks if he knows the girl is underage. Cuz it literally never clicked in his head that someone would think he would be getting up to that type of activity

Yoshy Moshy

The tree times rule is per enemy/per soul not per gate. Like how Igris resisted the first two tries then accepted Jinwoo, but if he had resisted the final one then he would have been locked out of getting Igris, but could have continued attempting to summon other souls as he pleased.

Yoshy Moshy

I'm also pretty sure that the initial summon/Arise doesn't cost any mana. Mana is only used to regenerate damage. He can even put soldiers away mid battle and bring them back out without Mana use, like he did with Iron when Iron appeared behind him suddenly.

Yoshy Moshy

I was gonna mention this as well. That was definitely a taunt skill, as Barca says something like 'you die first' each time he uses it, we saw Dung Suk Hwang (apologies for misspelling, the leader of the squad that tried to kill Jinwoo and Jinhoo) use the Taunt skill against the ants in their dungeon. I also wanted to point out that (I believe) Iron wasn't resisting Jinwoo's control, it was just his aggressive/loud personality getting prepped for battle that made it look like he was trying to resist.

Yoshy Moshy

An important point since youse are discussing Jinwoo killing Kim, in the Manwa Jinwoo thinks that he needs more help for the fight, and intentionally kicks Kim's sword over to him while he's still knocked out. It's possible he did it hoping that Kim would wake up, realise what was going on and help him, but I think he did it expecting that Kim would attack him, giving him a 'reason' to kill him and summon his soul.

Fries

just wanna say real quick that leveling up intelligence doesn't literally make him smarter, it allows him to use better skills and use mana more efficiently. Jin-woo debatable probably did get smarter between then and now but most of it is due to him keeping a level head and being experienced and knowing how things generally are for his field and not directly correlated to leveling intelligence

Westy

Why oh why does Patreon insist on giving me notifications for old uploads like this one, but never new uploads?

Bdflames

the dub doesnt do a great job of explaining but hes not speaking elf or part elf, its the universal monster tongue (i think)

LabyrinthSouls

MONTANA!!!! “HorSes ARe NOT capable of ThaT” you were so affronted! 🤣🤣🤣

Braden Jackson

They quite literally show that the others hear him talk elf

SageJ

That’s not what they meant. Jinwoo wasn’t talking “elf” because “elf” isn’t the language. It was a universal language for monsters, regardless of the type. Elf, Demon, Orc, Etc. Same language for all of them.

SageJ

Late getting into watching you guys react to this series. I was waiting to see your reactions to the car ride at the end. Lol
