Quick facts about Celtic culture ! A lot of European countries and cultures have some big region and subculture that directly come from celtic lineage and origins. Irish is one of them, but so is Britain, Scotland, Northern France all the way to some part of Slovakia. The "collective imagery" is centered around the UK, but Brittany is a big region in France with, still today, people living and talking by their ancestry. This culture changed forms after the Roman Empire took over, and changed again after Christianity took the lead, destroying a lot of element making it apparent. To go back to Artorius, Askelad ancestor, he was influenced by this culture as he ruled over celtic britons, and was an inspiration (but not the only one) to King Arthur legend. But the Roman Empire had a way of leading people that let cultures express themselves with (almost) no retribution. Askelad is, therefore, Danish in culture, being surrounded and raised in it and Roman by ancestry with the celtic side of the old roman empire.

I love the 2nd OP and ED. The latter was sung by milet, who sang both of Frieren's ending songs. ✨ The OP was sung by MAN WITH A MISSION, who, along with milet funnily enough, sang the opening for the Demon Slayer: Swordsmith Village arc. 🗡️

It's not even really that brutal for the royals growing up in court and Canute isn't actually sickly. Those are both just the overbearing nature of Ragnar coming through. In fact, Ragnar is pretty much entirely to blame for Canute's anxiety problems. He's a terrible influence for a growing boy.

Me, personally, I never got the "ship" vibes from thorfinn and the prince For me, it was just him talking shit to another guy his age he thinks is a panzy and making a comment to the fact that he's definitely more feminine looking than probably any other man he's ever met 🤷

its hard to argue when the topic is who had a worse life, because youll likely never be in or experience what the other did. for every party what they experienced was the worst thing ever because they have no substitute. Also saying a noble cant ever have a bad life is 100% wrong. just because it isnt the same struggle doesnt make it better or worse

thorfin threw himself in to where he is at,he made the choice to go with askeldad to kill him,yes he killed his father but still,thorfin still decided to put in his own neck the shackles of being askelads slave doing his bidding,in the other hand canute was born in a world where family kill each other for power poisoning and such,yes arguably thorfin had it rougher by having to loose his freedom and humanity(willingly),but saying that canute doesnt understand,just sits wrong with me,anyways love to both of u i love ur reactions and more ur comentary

It's wild how people as "empathetic" as you guys not only discount Canute's experiences & his past, but actually actively ridicule him. Thorfinn had a fantastic life, until *he* decided to disobey his father & stow away on a ship. He also made the decision to follow Askeladd for his revenge. All choices made by Thorfinn. Thorfinn *had* loving father, a loving mother & sister. People who cared about him. Meanwhile Canute had a family that would do anything for more power. Siblings poisoning each other. Never experienced love from anyone: not his father, not his siblings. No one other than Ragnar. It just sits with me the wrong way how you guys actually made fun of him just because he's a royal.
