On a more wholesome note, it's clear that Kaylie got her singing voice from Scanlan. The two did sound great together in that unintended father-daughter song.

Oh yeah the table scene for that was insane too, Sam did not expect it whatsoever, it honestly came out of nowhere and just shocked the entire table and Sam totally rolled with it. Absolutely legendary moment. Kinda funny that you have two different shows with absentee fathers. I think Gon has a very different perspective to Kaylie.

Funny enough, during the campaign they knew that Pike had eyes for one of the players. It wasn't revealed till the end of campaign Wrap up that she had eyes for Percy.

Just wanna shout out the actor who plays Kevdak, his name is Ralph Ineson and he's really really good. He's been in stuff like the VVitch and he played Cid in FFXVI, dude just has a super iconic voice and I highly recommend checking out some of the other stuff he's done.

The best part about this fight is that it is word for word & scene for scene from the campaign. Travis says these exact lines, Laura comes up with this exact plan, and to top it off that finishing hit is a natural 20 for a crit. Such an insane moment from the campaign.

If you think about it, Scanlan being a dad has been getting indirectly foreshadowed throughout this season. Between his wanting for genuine love in his life when talking to the Sphinx and how he was looking after a weakened Grog, Scanlan's paternal attitude has been getting subtly established.

Grog's line, "What strength?! Can't you see how weak I am?!" is one of the best lines in the series, both for the story and Travis's voice-acting. And that "RAAAAAAGE" after is also dope.

Not only that, but Kaylie actually does look like Scanlan. The skin tone, the nose; it's actually pretty apparent, if you're looking closely.

Ya i came to say that! That dropped attack was a huge risk and knocked him unconscious but I think he rolled a nat20 too! Like omg it was SUCH a good session! Honestly I think EVERYONE was at like single digit HP lol

Man that entire session was like 5 hours of fighting and its not a fully one to one obviously but like so many of the key moments; grog getting impaled, the team on the roofs surrounding them, Grogs "Vox Machina. Fuck. Shit. Up!" And even that finally hit dropping from the sky, all were pretty much word for word and PERFECT! They have done so well with translating everything (and in such short epsiodes is WILD!) Also if I remember correctly everyone was like in single digits and they were so stressed about losing, Grog was at like 1 or 2 HP and I think grapple by Kevdak, and Laura fucking Bailey had that idea and risked taking multiple opportunity attacks to get him out and drop him! And i believe there was like 3, ALL missed! And then I believe Travis got a nat20 on that hit finishing off Kevdak and then knocking himself unconscious 🤣 but god damn I remember being GLUED to the screen hahaha
