Hey so to clarify (even though it seems like you realized it by now), Hoshina's daggers are NOT a Number's weapon, they are a unique weapon. They explained this VERY briefly in Season 1 when they gave Kikoru her axe, but there are UNIQUE weapons and these are usually given more frequently than number's weapons and are not dangerous, but are made for the individual user. A few examples of members that have UNIQUE/CUSTOM weapons: - Kikoru, her axe - Mina, her big fucking gun/sniper, - Hoshina, his swords/daggers - Narumi's gunblade - Rin's Minigun (she's a member of the first that was fighting with Kikoru) Those are given much more freely as they are NOT numbers weapons and are more just created to compliment a user's fighting style/their personality traits

Let me see if I can explain this in a helpful manner. The defense force makes almost all their gear from Kaiju. The suits, ammunition, weapons etc. Vice Captain Hoshina's twin swords are made from a Kaiju, but I don't believe it is a numbers weapon made from the STRONGEST of Kaiju. A good parallel is the Nichirin blades in Demon Slayer. They are all made from this ore that can kill demons, just like the Kaiju gear let's you fight Kaiju. However, Tanjiro's new sword is of elite quality and is stronger than any other nichirin sword. That is similar to what a Numbered Kaiju weapon is to their regular equipment. Reno's potential Numbered Weapon is a Suit similar to Kikoru's mom (she wore 4 i believe) NOT the weapon he wields. Keep that in mind moving forward 😘

From what I can tell the numbers signify the division, not the kaiju they're made from. I believe both Hoshina's and Kikoru's have "03" on them, because they're from the third division

@hbelmont24 They do actually! If you look at the blade of Kikoru's axe in art, it has "03" on it, most likely because she's from the third division, as I mentioned in my other comment! EDIT: Okay ignore the previous paragraph I deleted that was below this, I went back and found a scene where you can clearly see they say "03" on them. Season 1 Episode 8, where Kafka fights Hoshina. Right before Kafka breaks off the dagger that's in him, you can briefly see the dagger says "03" around the hilt/guard!

Btw Kenny I believe you were confused that hoshina had number 6 I believe you were referring to the moment in season one were he was either talking about his current daggers being his 6th model or his 6th style of fighting I somewhat remember him talking about the number 6 as well

Man I KNEW I knew that voice. Every time I heard him it was driving me up a wall but I just never bothered to look it up, but that’s definitely Choi alright. Almost has the same mannerisms too

Honestly, this character became a highlight of the second season for me pretty much ENTIRELY thanks to the performance. Sinclair just has a way of delivering his lines with such natural energy. He plays both down-to-earth and over-the-top extremely well.
