This is one of the episodes that pushed this above AOT for me.

That final shot of Thorfinn with the hoe (?) is so iconic

TEARS... EVERYTIME.. damn this episode hits so hard. Thorfinn finally realizing that he wants to carry the weight of his sins and truly change.. NO understanding for anyone who doesn't like season 2.. its heartbreaking and heartwarming all at once.

I could be totally off but those three heads on a spear might’ve been from the spear that Thorkell threw in the forest when they gave over Canute

Peeky Meeky

Please please watch the ending before it changes it goes with the theme for this episode

PEAKLAND SAGA YES!!! This episode is one of my favorites man, the character growth on display here is just next level.

In my eyes this is the best episode in this anime so far It hammers down thorfinns true struggle so well. Everyone who was disappointed with S2 clearly doesnt get the point of Vinland Saga. The Author is a pacifist and it becomes clear in this season. His intentions and ideology is laid plain right here and i cant but wholeheartedly agree with him. Sure S1 had great fights and all but this season is where it gets deep into fundamentals of humanity

Dominic Sanjay

The only two people in that warrior’s plane weren’t consumed by the violence were the two that truly hated themselves for being warriors, Askeladd and Thorfinn. Really emblematic of the shows message of how becoming empty and hitting rock bottom can be a powerful transformational tool if you let it.

Do you think canute and thorfin will come to any sort of understanding since they are going into exact opposite paths. (if they meet) and thats my first time commenting so i really need to know whats your favorite anime, because i finished watching your reaction to my fav anime aot. (I watched AOT 9 different times)

Erin Ryan

This is episode is one of my favourite episodes in all of media. We have waited so long for Thorfinn to come the realization that we all have no enemies and this episode does it absoluetly perfectly

The "arrows" on Thorfinns old dagger are actually Norse runes. It's the rune called "tiwaz" which represents Tyr, Masculinity, Justice, Leadership, Logic and Battle. It's also the rune for the letter "T". The fact it was on a dagger originally belonging to Thors it's likely "TT" for "Thors the Troll".
