Sam Cam

What do you think of Makima after watching this movie? Does your opinion change or remain the same?

Hicham

How do you feel about reze after the movie's ending? Her story somewhat reflected denjis past to where it efecter her in a big way.

Chris Collier

What do you think of Reze as a character and an antagonist? She laments that she didn’t kill Denji when she met him, but seemingly tries to back to see him again. She only tries to kill Denji after he refused to run away with her. What do you think of this, and what Kishibe tells us?

Chris Collier

What do you think about Aki and Angel? . He says that he doesn’t care if Angel dies, but that he can’t handle seeing anyone die in front of him again. By the end of the movie, Angel refused to bring Aki along for a mission he knew would be cruel. For someone who “could never be friends with a devil” power and Angel seem to be changing that slowly.

Cosmic Youth

For after finishing the movie: What are your thoughts on Makima following her actions during the end of Season 1 and the last few minutes of the movie? She clearly has some very powerful abilities at her disposal, but we know almost nothing about them.

ExoticTea

What impact do you think makima’s actions will have if denji were to find out about what happened to reze? And what are your personal thoughts on the city mouse and country mouse ideology that both reze and angel shared

Lyrical Kell of Music

If you could have a devil power like denji and reze, what devil would you choose and what would be the transformation trigger ?

vegitothegoat

We don't get a lot of him in this movie, but where do you think aki's story will go? He doesn't have much time left so I feel that we're going to see him gain the spotlight in the near future. Presumably against the gun devil, since that's been his main goal

Lyrical Kell of Music

Denji typically has some personal revelation after a sexual or romantic encounter, what do you think denji will take away from his time with reze?

Lyrical Kell of Music

Does seeing any more of makima give you any insight to her ? From long range crushing to mouse manipulation

aaron28

During the last movie of Denji and Makimas date, both of them cry. Do you think Makima was genuinely crying or was it a lie?

SPARKLE

How have your Opinions on Makima changed after seeing the ending? Has it stayed the same or did it change in some way?

Gastar805

Based on the ending of the film, as well as the knowledge on reze's identity, as well as the fact that she had many opportunities to kill denji, and seemingly never took them. Do you believe that reze truly cared for denji, or at least genuinely grew to care for him, and if so, at what point do you think she stopped trying to kill him because, and when or what do you think caused her to resume her mission?

SPARKLE

Many small details in this Movie (like how many shots and compositions look like the shape of an eye) insinuate that, Makima is watching. After this Movie, what do you think Makima's devil contract is?

SPARKLE

In your eyes, did Reze love Denji?

Chris Collier

What did you think of the fiends getting more spotlight. Beam, Angel, and Galgali (violence) all get some time in to shine. Do you have a favorite?

HBelmont67

Denji laments that everyone's after his chainsaw heart, and desperately wonders if anyone wants his own (ie, everyone seems to care only about him as a Devil and not as a human). The Eternity, Katana, and Bomb Devils all made moves to kill him. Makima appears to be using him. Aki only seems to put up with him because he thinks Denji will help him kill the Gun Devil. Even Beam, Denji's most ride-or-die companion in this movie, only refers to him as "Lord Chainsaw." How do you think this will affect Denji's sense of self-worth moving forward and do you predict anyone else will be able to love him for him?

HBelmont67

What do you think of the way this movie was split between slice-of-life teen romance in the first half and balls-to-the-wall action in the second? Do you feel that the story and Studio MAPPA depicted both genres well, all while maintaining the through line of Denji and Reze's story throughout it?

‎

How would you compare and contrast the two dates that Denji went on? Makima's and Reze's

XRon256

We see more of the angel devil in this movie, he's a complex hidden character. What do you think of him and what part he could play in the future.

XRon256

What is your interpretation and thoughts on makima not crying in any film until the last movie, just like denji?

XRon256

How does Beam ( the shark fiend) know about chainsawman and why does he call him lord chainsaw?

XRon256

Does makima have a goal? What does she want with deji that she would have reze killed? What do you think is her ultimate plan?

XRon256

Power is seemingly absence in this movie. What do you think was happening to her?

XRon256

Chainsaw man has had some.... obscure and... lets just say questionable scenes at times, but this movie has given us some great charcter development and ABSOLUTE CINEMA. What did you think of the movie, the new charcters and the more in depth development of denji?

Sam Cam

No I typed makima but it changed to maki

HBelmont67

Makima stated at the start that Power need to have her blood drained.

Praise the Omnissiah

How might denji's inexperience with personal relationships and bonds put him in a position to be easily manipulated, hurt, and taken advantage of, and do you believe he is truly in a position to give informed consent for explicit activities.

XRon256

🤔 ye but i cant belive makima. And power looked so scared 🥺 poor thing.

HBelmont67

Between the animation, characters and voice-acting, cinematography, and music, what was your favorite aspect of this movie, and do you regret not seeing in theaters? 🎥 🍿

Limini

Compared to the first season that was more "real life" like cinematic, how did you find the stylistic changes?

Limini

Denji for the first time said no to makima and the forces controlling his life. when reze asked him to run away with her the first time he said no, what do you think changed in denji after he found out about rezes true identity that made him want to run away with her after the fight?

HBelmont67

I mean, we see Power with more horns at the start, and Makima takes her to get her blood drained. Once Power comes back, we see her with her normal horns again. No reason not to believe that's what happened.

HBelmont67

You can edit it, y'know

Sam Cam

What's done is done

blakekaram

fucking FINALLY🔥, thought it was a gonna be a while before they get around to watching it

devilish

There’s a lot of symbolism in this movie, have you got any favorites? And what’s your take on that scene?

HBelmont67

It helps that the movie got released to digital so much earlier than streaming. 😁

Tyler

Angel is an incredibly complex character what do you think of him and his relationship with Aki

Limini

Bakugo vs Reze. Please discuss

Ghosty

what do you think of what aki did with angel devil despite his constant mention of his distaste for devils?#akiangel

Braden Jackson

What was your most hyped moment your most emotional moment and just your all around favorite moment

Ghosty

IMPORTANT: In a fatal 4 way match of Reze, Rex Splode, Genthru The Bomber, and Prime Bakugo (Final Season version) who do you think will go out first and will be the last one standing? (Side Note) We can't include Jogo in this match since he can just Domain Expansion everyone's butt.

Ramon Fax!

What's your overall impression of Makima and what do you think her goal is? It's revealed by Beam the fiend that she was aware of the Bomb Devil but did not let any of the Devil Hunters know. Even when Reze was causing havoc in the city she was nowhere in site to help, yet showed up suddenly to intercept Reze from coming any closer to Denji and dealt with her. Also Reze made an interesting comment that even if she ran away with Denji then it would've been pointless.

Timothy Heck

The movie has a different aesthetic than season 1 did. The show was more subdued and cinematic, looking like it could have been filmed with live action, while the movie was more frenetic and colorful. Both are top tier animation, but have different feels. Thoughts? Pros and Cons? (Personally, I can't really pick a preference since they're both so dang good. I liked how the show's slower, mature vibe set it apart from other anime, but seeing some of the nutty visuals of the movie, I see the appeal of leaning into the experimental side of Chainsaw Man.)

Rahul Korrapati

Let's do a hero ranking, your guys honest thoughts

Donte Manning

The Angel Devil claims to hate life in the city and following government orders. Do you think it’s more morally good for Devils to blindly follow their orders? Or is it better for them to do what’s right im their heart?

juliaan r.

Do you think this was Denji’s closest chance so far at a real relationship?

Ramon Fax!

Wrong show buddy because everyone here is deeply flawed

Adan Guzman

But what if they pick your question, don’t you want to fix the typo?

Sam Cam

U right good looks

Bryan Sanchez

dude they literally said spoiler free lol

Ramon Fax!

Don't they answer these questions after watching the content? If so shouldn't they already know all of this? I'm confused.

Tyler Tim

Yeah I think Bryan misunderstood, you're good

Y Munchoz

What do you think of denji's choice of saving reze and wanting to meet again

Ramon Fax!

There's a teaser for season 2 if you want to check out after watching the film.

devilish

There’s a season 2 teaser you guys should also check out!

Mark Rellus

Why do you think Denji changed his mind about leaving public safety after everything he went through with Reze?

gianni

In season one, we learn about Denji's interesting relationship with food, having grown up in poverty needing to make every scrap last. An extra at the end of volume one of the manga has also shown that Denji will eat almost anything, from orange peels to scabs from Aki's arm. Considering his reverence for eating, what do you make of what he does in the post-credit scene? Do you think he ate the flowers just to mess with power, because he didn’t want to waste them, or as a more sentimental act towards Reze?

gianni

During the scene in the pool, there's a sense of trust and vulnerability between Denji and Reze. The only thing that seems off is when we cut away to the spider closing in on the butterfly. It's an eerie visual that would probably make you cautious of Reze closing in on Denji like the spider, but in the end, Reze also ended up getting herself trapped in an inescapable situation. Also, when it starts to rain at the end of the scene, the spider remains curled up instead of escaping to find shelter, indicating that it may have died since butterflies can be toxic to spiders. In hindsight, what do you think the sequence represented?

HBelmont67

After seeing his work adapted on the big screen, Chainsaw Man author Tatsuki Fujimoto has since expressed sorrow over the fact that Denji and Reze didn't work out and seems to be lamenting why he wrote it that way in the first place. Assuming he's not just trolling us haha, what do you make of this and how creators can have different perceptions of their works over time?

HBelmont67

Not Beam. Beam is perfect. 🦈

Lyrical Kell of Music

I really respect an creator in the space of an ongoing media like manga, sitting with what they would write differently, and not making a bs reason to recon a pervious plot point

HBelmont67

"What idiot designed this thing?" "You did, sir." " . . . . Fair enough."
