Charlie is so fixated on proving that redemption is possible that she ignores the real grievances that Hell has with Heaven after years of genocide. Vox is taking advantage of Hell’s pain to accumulate power, but he is right to call Heaven out on bringing gift baskets as an apology. Charlie, the angels, and Lucifer are missing the point of the sinners’ rage. I’d also still be furious if the angels brought Sir Pentious because that means they killed thousands of sinners when redemption was possible the whole time. Great reaction! Next episode is gonna be so much fun.

I don’t think they are allowed to bring pentious down to hell like how people in Hell can’t go to heaven I think the same applies to pentious

You haven’t watched Helluva Boss yet so you’re not familiar with them, but in the background of Lucifer’s room you can actually see gifts from the six other sins asking Lucifer (pride) to come back (as well as pictures of them on the walls): a Stetson hat from Satan (wrath), candy from Beelzebub (gluttony), ocean-scented perfume from Leviathan (envy), a big plushy of herself that we see Lu holding from Belphegor (sloth), an apple-shaped ball gag from Asmodeus (lust), and a straight up cash bribe from Mammon (greed).

Because Abel and Adam can go to hell and they used to be human. The rules of the different angels and status isnt that clear cut.

I think the angels would have a much better shot without what Lucificer did. The lucificer stuff allowed Vox to take instant control of the conversation and prevent the angels from even mentioning pentiois to the crowd

They have explicit permission, as do the Seraphim, we've never seen just random ol' demons and angels go in between

Yeah, that’s what I was about to say. Adam was also an archangel, higher than a winner in heaven. I don’t know about Abel, though. He is the general of the exorcists, though.

Since you like Jeremy Jordan's voice so much (especially the more rock style vocals in this episode), you should DEFINITELY check out the rock band "Age of Madness" where Jeremy is the lead singer!! This is never made clear that they had permission and who is able to give permission. It seems like Serra is at the very top of the hierarchy with only the speaker above her, other seraphims equal and god above all them. It seems like youbare able to go from a soul to a angel to an archangel and other things somehow and that is probably more why they can. But it isnt clear. All we get is emily saying Sir Pentious isnt allowed to see his friends or he cant. We have no idea why and whether that can be changed. Because showing sir pentious will do a lot more than anything and so if Abel can get a pass then let get sir pentiois one. Probably cant.

If I’m not mistaken there are the elder angels as well right?! I don’t know if this is right so correct me if I’m wrong but when I searched who they are in Hazbin it says they’re above a seraphim and is the first generation that god created. Don’t know if this is right tho my Hazbin knowledge isn’t up there

Pretty sure they're physically unable to bring Pentious back to hell, similar to how the Angels can't just take sinners to heaven Seems there are ancient rules in place still, like the same rules that stopped Lucifer from smiting Vox. Might also be why the angels can't go too crazy with any gifts like making Hell straight up better, Hell is still a punishment for the sinners, and like Lucifier they can't interfere with that

Vox like all good populists speaks a lot of truth, points at many real problems and injustices ... but then offers very simplistic solutions that don't actually solve anything, "solutions" that a primarily designed to achieve their own goals or just simple keep them in power.

Yeah, this is definitely the episode that makes you go from viewing Vox as hilariously out of his depth to "Oh, Vox is actually a problem."

I actually thought about this a lot and I think I know why. So I don't buy that there's no way for sinners or winners to go from heaven to hell or vice versa, whether themselves or taken by angels. So I have two solutions, and they tie into each other. One, Sera in episode 2 says no one enters or leaves because of the lockdown. She's setting the example for her own rules. Two, Sera and Emily's flaw since the beginning has been they never thought about it, and because those situations never happened (A sinner ascending, or winner descending), they never questioned it. Now Emily welcomes the changes when they are presented, while Sera fears them. This is why it takes her so long to take any action in tandem with hell, instead choosing to seal off heaven protecting the winners and by extension, protecting herself.

I think the idea is that god is still as indirectly involved as he is on earth apart from enforcing certain rules. Or maybe those were set in motion and maintain themselves. But I don't think god is any more likely to interfere in Heaven and Hell as he is on Earth cause that just not his style. Its just 1 level higher.
