Actually the king has complimented someone before and it was pitou by saying they were strong because they didnt die from his attack. I think the king respects with ppl great abilities. And also by the last i think the narrator is saying should the kings arm be fully healed pitou would just go back to using their EN making sneaking in impossible

Yes. The King is changing. And the things is, there are two factors for this: One is his age. The king is only a few weeks old. In a technical sense, he's a _baby_ soaking up his sourroundings like a sponge. But also the human genes. As you ahve speculated time and time again, those are _definitly_ not playing well with the ant genes
