(bit if a long one) Through an unfortunate case of what is likely lack (or absence) of communication between the casting directors for the dub and sub. There is a very significant difference in the reveal of tengen at the very end of the episode, depending on the language. Throughout the series you guys have been watching the dub, where the narrator throughout the series is male, however in the original Japanese, the narrator is female. And in this episode should you be watching the sub, you would find out that the woman voicing the narrator, also voices tengen, effectively confirming that the official narrator of the series is tengen. How does that change how you might interpret or view tengen as a character?

If you watch anime in dub, sometimes writing is translated, and sometimes it is isn't. It really is touch-and-go. 🤷🏼‍♂️
