Are you ok? Thoughts on Trent's manipulation and how much do you blame him vs Bren for what happened?

TravisB

What do you think of Owelia’s concession that Trent still wants Caleb back? Do you believe that Trent truly sees Caleb/Bren as a prodigy and the most capable of his students?

Mortis

In this episode we get to see nott really expressing her motherly side in a very sweet way towards not just Caleb but also fjord. How does this change your perspective on her as a character and where do you think her arc is going?

zzsaturn

What do you think of Nott’s speech about Caleb at the end of the episode?

KidCryptid

Long time watcher and first time patreon commenter! Towards the end of the episode, Caleb sets the tree Owelia is trapped against ablaze as we cut back and forth between seeing the trauma of his past and him breaking down in the present. When Caleb sends one final blast burning the tree and definitively killing Owelia, he is falling apart emotionally. After all of the grooming at Trent's hands, and the psychological torture he has been put through, how responsible is Caleb for his past actions? After killing his parents (and beloved pet), is he too far gone to be redeemed?

This epsiode makes me bawl every single time ive watched it (which is...all LOT lol), it was 1 thing to hear Liam explain it during the campaign, it was a WHOLE other thing to actually see it! 1) how are you doing? And 2) how does learning this change your view of Caleb (if it does) and do you think they represented this kind of breakdown well? (Aka I just want a psych eval rant from yall on Caleb)

What are your thoughts on Liam O'Brien's vocal performance as Caleb this episode? How does it differ from how he portrayed Vax in the first campaign?

JENIRD

After seeing Caleb’s backstory. How do you feel about Caleb now? Do you think he can be redeemed and if he was redeemed does that wash away what he’s done ?

Luhmin

Well, this episode probably should have a content not since it doesn‘t hold back with Calebs backstory. It asks the viewer how much responsibilty they would place on the shoulders of someone who did this and if that person can be redeemed. So what do you think, on one hand, Caleb needs to do to see himself as redeemable and heal, and, on the other hand, what would you think he should have to do to redeem himself and if there is a difference, why?

Luhmin

Sorry, another question ^^ throughout the episode the viewer learns a lot about the system Caleb grew up in, from the patriotism of his parents to Ickithons manipulations, that seem to have a place at a school. Why do you think the moment he saw his cat in the window was the moment he snapped out of his mindset and how do you think his views will evolve in the future?

Mario Pastrana

First of all, how we feeling? Secondly, I'd love to hear your thoughts on how this show deals with characters in their possible quests to redemption. Do you believe characters like caleb (and maybe another character later on...) should try to attone, or is the tragedy of it all enough to justify the fact that they aren't "Evil" anymore.

Fraud, evader of taxes

I gotta know how did yall feel about that gutteral yell. S tier voice acting i could tell that hurt

Do you suppose Calebs' original name, Bren, literally helped him perform fire magic?
