After seeing netero’s nen ability in action, where does it rank for you guys in comparison to others shown throughout the series?

Chris Collier

Netero is gone, blown up by bomb placed in his heart. He had no intention of letting meruem “win” this fight. The poor man’s rose has claimed one more life, and possibly, the kings’s. Wha did you think of this?

Chris Collier

Netero tells Meruem that he cannot grasp that malice the dwells within the human hearts, before killing himself with a man made weapon of destruction that was so common, it had a cute little nickname. What are your thoughts on the conclusion to not only their physical battle, but their conversation regarding humanity as a whole?

Bryan Sanchez

What do you think of what Netero said to the king? “You know nothing of the bottomless Malice within the human heart.” besides being an absolute BAR, how do you think this relates to the overall theme of this arc?

Swat Kat Saber

Fun fact: Netero's words to Meruem in the manga are actually "Human potential for (insert word here) is bottomless". The insert word portion is a play on japanese kanji for "Akui" (悪意) which translates as "malice" as stated in the show, but in the manga, this also includes furigana, which can mean he also means "Shinka" (進化), translating to evolution. So he really means "Human potential for malice/evolution is bottomless". Does this change your perspective on what Netero said to Meruem?

Robin Berglund

Meruem says "You had me in checkmate from the start..." My take on this is that the King was in checkmate even before the operation started, since a less optimal execution would simply result in the bomb going off in the palace instead - still likely taking the King with it, although with *a lot* more ant and human casualties. How does this change your perspective on the operation as a whole? It would be an answer to why more hunters weren't called in. Do you think Netero underestimated the Royal Guards, since Meruem is the only one that they prepared such a bomb for?
