Many pieces of fiction have interpretations of Dracula, but the Castlevania games are the first to explore the idea of Dracula “lowering” himself out of love for a human wife and becoming monstrous when he loses her despite originally being a misunderstood recluse who wanted to be left alone. How do you feel about this interpretation? Does it match or differ from your own idea of Dracula?

Lisa seeks out Dracula, who she initially knows nothing about, in the hope that he'll be willing to teach her. She insists that he travels like a human in order to expand his horizons, and even when she's dying she tries to convince him to be good. What do you think all of this says about Lisa as a person? What do you think is says about their marriage?

So excited to see you guys starting this series. Hands down one of my top 5 animated works. Hope you both enjoy this journey. That being said, this is a banger of a first episode. An innocent woman that wanted a better world is killed for simple bigotry. A high member of the church dooms the very people he claimed to look out for while the masses celebrated her death. How valid is Dracula's reaction in your opinion? Even as she suffered through the flames she begged her husband to forgive them. Would either of you be willing to forgive after such a tragedy? This anime makes me appreciate how much humanity has advanced in the last 200 years.

Lisa’s final words are a plea to Dracula not to hate humanity, even after what’s being done to her by the Church. Do you think the show is setting that up as the moral truth of the entire story, or is it deliberately challenging it through what happens to her?

Alright, I can work with this. Two western shows at once to shake things up. 😁 Just PLEASE promise Dr Stone will have a spot soon. 🙏🏼

Omigosh, I cannot WAIT to see the artwork of Kenny and Montana in this show's style. Kenny's obviously Trevor, and Montana would 100% be Alucard. She would rock Sypha or Camilla's fits, no question, but I think Alucard's design suits her best.

how would you describe this episode in one word ?

Contrastjd

Do you feel that dracula is justified in his vengeance on the actions taken against him and his wife. Even though the rest of humanity had nothing to do with her death.

What are your predictions on who the person shrouded in light that stood up to Dracula is?

Babybear47

You've watch gory anime (AOT & Invisible) but how do you think the gory is in this? Ps it doesn't get better but the anime itself is amazing!

What are your thoughts on our supposed main character, Trevor Belmont? What does his cynism reveal about this character's relationship to the world of Castlevania?

I'm a long time watcher, loved you since you're avatar days, but this my first time asking a question what do you think of the visuals given during the intro and how do you think is sets the tone of the series

Saiyasha

How do you think the series will end? Do you think Dracula is going to stay the main antagonist?

Ahmad

I hope you react to Castlevania nocturne too

Stuff I think you'd have talked about already but just in case: What's your history with Castlevania, have you played the games? What do you think of this show's look and feel as a whole compared to anime or other western shows? The voice acting, the music, the setting, the themes, the art, THE ART, the tone?

Is Dracula justified
