What were your first thoughts about gon's new form? Do you think he can be come back from this extreme nen contract?

Day

So this gon x pitou fight has been built up so much, so many episodes leading up to this point, with minutes of time taking an entire episode to pass. While other shows would drag out this big fight, it ended within minutes with very bittersweet results. How do you feel about this? Would you prefer it different?

What do you think the exact vow (contract/restriction) was? I’m assuming you two will come to the conclusion pretty quickly that that’s how the power was obtained.

How devastated are you? This was one of the most impactful episodes of HxH for me. Have loved watching your guys journey ❤️

Gon seems to forcefully age himself in this episode, from a 13 year old boy to a fully grown adult. What do you think that transformation represents in real life? And how did the tone of this fight feel to you compared to a typical “final battle” scene found in other series?

Killua has always tried to protect Gon emotionally. How do you think it affects him to watch Gon become something he can’t reach anymore? What would be the healthy thing for someone in Killua’s shoes to do?

Chris Collier

Gon, our protagonist, has made some sort of Nen contract to allow himself to temporarily wield unbelievable power, enough to rival even that of the King. Yet he used all this power, this once in a lifetime chance, to kill Pitou. they even mention how grateful they are that he chooses to use this power just to kill them. What do you think of this?

In the end the episode, we see a tear roll down Gon’s face, as Killua pleads to him to stop using this power. As they are both seemingly enveloped in a blinding burst of energy, what do you think will happen to Gon and Killua?

Hello! First time asking a question but I just had to for this one. In the anime Gon spends a relatively short amount of time with Kite, do you believe his extreme emotional response to what he learns about Kite is warranted or did he sacrifice too much?

MattyG

Throughout the show, Gon has repeatedly exhibited behaviors that could be considered self harm. Given the catastrophic events of this episode, how are Gon's past actions recontextualized? Were there warning signs that you/his friends missed in hindsight?

Killua finally has someone in his life he loves and cares about in Gon and has done everything he can to protect him both physically and emotionally, how do you think he will respond to in his view failing to do so

We still have a lot of show left so what happens to Gon now? What would aunt Mito on Whale Island say? What would his dad say?

Cyan_Sky9135

I hope I’m not too late! What do you think Kite would say about Gons new “powers” and his vengeance about his death?
