in this episode we see Maomao take care of Lady Lihua who is sick in body and soul after the passing of her son. We see she later comes to the realisation that she wants to live because of her son and that she wants children again. Maomao says she was wrong about her first impressions of Lady Lihua. Has your impression of the character changed with this episode?

As annoying as it was that the ladies in waiting constantly ignored maomao, an apothecary, until Jinshi came along, can you blame them when she was previously a lowley laundry maid (usually illiterate) or do you think because the Emporer himself appointed her they should have immediately listened?

Hi there lover of apothecary diaries and it’s gotten me to the point where I’d like to ask a question…in this episode we see the normally always composed maomao lose her temper for one of the very few times she’s normally overly well behaved woman who knows how to control her emotions especially infront of those ranked higher than her…what do you think made her personality snap so fast (also fun fact by the author is if maomao was raised by someone else or down a different path…spoiler free zone she would of turned out more evil and manipulative)
