I always felt like Daichi was willing to let the other 1st years yell at each other, but he didnt want Tanaka involved in lower under classmens squabbles. he never scolds any of them for yelling EXCEPT tanaka.

I like that he lets the first years duke it out with each other in this episode. I mean from a leader’s perspective, it would make sense to let them go ahead and get it all out and then hopefully, after this game, they can set it aside and come together as a team. And he HAS to correct Tanaka because he knows that next year the 2nd years will be the leaders of the club when the 3rd years graduate…💔 Daichi is a phenomenal leader and captain!

I'm so happy you guys are enjoying this show, this is my favorite anime manga adaptation. Just like Kenny this is the episode that hooked me as well. I can't wait till we get to the matches against the other schools and we're introduced to our actual rivals

For sure. I mean, him being very hateable right now is kind of what makes his story interesting later, so imo it's always best to let those feelings simmer.

One of the things that makes this show a nice change of pace is that since it's a very grounded real world setting, there aren't really any villains in the story. Antagonists for sure, plenty of that, but nobody is really evil or anything. Just a bunch of people who all have their reasons for wanting to compete and win.

naruto is just a much different style of anime and the era it is from was alot more slow paced. Its a great anime but its so different to what they usually watch id be nervous to see if they like it at all not to mention how long it is.
