What do you think of Maomao becoming the palace’s investigator. Feels like in the beginning her jobs were a lot heavier and higher risk. This episode felt like a lot lower stakes.

in this episode we see the Strategist Lakan again, he talks to jinshi about wanting to see talented people in there correct places, when asked by Jinshi to finish his story on ‘devaluing’ a courtesan he simply says to jinshi why not ask Maomao. This is yet another example of Lakan taking an interest in Maomao, and they seem to have the Verdigris House in common. Do you think he’s just interested in her talent or is there more to this?

hey sorry this isnt exactly a question but id love for you to notice this...you've watched a previous show with maomaos voice actor you easily recognized jinshi as gojo...but were you aware that maomao is Lucy from cyber punk
