Opinion on episode released. (Patreon)

So guys, I don’t want to get too personal but someone in my family has passed away, and I’m doing ok, coping well, but wondering legitimately if it would be detrimental to my channels momentum if I postponed the Thursday premiere to Sunday. I could pretty easily get this video out for tommorow, but with the funeral on Saturday I don’t think I’ll be able to get the video done in time for Sunday unless I don’t sleep.


Be brutally honest, in a business sense, whether y’all think this would be ok, and if so, how should I go about informing my audience. I know this is a wierd post, but after y’all’s kind words on my last post I thought I’d reach out to ask. Hope y’all are well

You should absolutely take all of the time you need. The last thing you should be thinking about right now is work. I don't think you have to explain yourself but if you feel the need to just do it when you are ready to come back. You guys are the most important part of your content and when you are not at your best I am sure it will show. Take your time and sorry for your loss

I don't think anyone would be mad if you posted the video until Sunday if they hear why. Another thing you can do is post tomorrow and simply not post Sunday and wait a whole week for the next video. A simple post in the community tab on YouTube should explain everything

Post whenever is good for you, anyone who can’t understand that isn’t someone who you want as a fan anyways. You could post tomorrow and postpone Sunday, postpone tomorrow and post Sunday, or tbh even just postpone till next Thursday. Take however long you need and we’ll be here excited to watch your content when you come back :)

from experience it might do something with YouTube analytics but so would posting a video that gets less views because it isn't as polished. In the end take care of yourself people can wait.

Take your time! Absolutely no hard feelings if you skip a release because of this. Don't overwork yourself, especially in a time like this. Your release schedule doesn't have to be 100% on point all the time. We understand that you're also human, just like the rest of us. Sorry for your loss. I hope you're doing well.

I am so sorry for your loss. Take all the time you need. From the “business perspective”, everyone can understand the extenuating circumstances and I guarantee no one expects you to stick to your normal upload schedule. No one would expect anything less. For informing your audience, I think a simple post on TikTok and/or YouTube to let the community know you won’t be uploading is perfectly fine. I hope you guys and your family are doing okay given the situation ❤️

So if I were to skip a video, would it be better to post the one I have tommorow and skip Sunday? The only reason I would do the opposite is because Sunday is a bigger premiere day anyway cause people are free, and it would be posted at 12 on Saturday premiere wise so people would know to tune in Sunday. Idk if that made sense but let me know if y’all have ideas

Whatever is easier for you. I might say post tomorrow and have an announcement in the video that Sunday would be delayed so that people won’t be expecting a video. But seriously, do what’s best for you. I’m so sorry for you loss ❤️

Your fans will understand, because that’s what makes us real supporters of you. Don’t rush yourself or hold yourself to any deadline. Take all the time you need.

Take whatever time you need to. We get it, life happens and sometimes emergencies and other situations come up and it affects your usual schedule. If you don't think you can reasonably have it done by Sunday unless you do something drastic like not sleep or eat until it's done, it's fine to push it back. We understand. As for letting people know, I think putting a post in your community tab on YouTube would work fine

Yes agreed, take your time. If you are worried about YouTube maybe post a quick what’s going on for people are aren’t patrons. That of course isn’t required. I think people will jump right back on board when you get back. I know I will. All the best and my condolences.

sorry to hear about the loss, my condolences. I've seen other YouTubers post, like a "we need to talk" brief vid that explains the situation. People will of course be understanding, I don't have any insight as to how the YouTube momentum will be affected but you're doing great and YouTube isn't going anywhere. Honestly at this point forget about the business side of things. Focus on yourself and your family so that you can later focus on posting content that you are proud to post and not rushed to meet a deadline. First of all, my absolute condolences. I'm so sorry. But it's ok to take time if you need to! I also lost a family member recently. My mother passed away in October. It's a very difficult thing to deal with. You absolutely need to focus on your family and yourself during this time of immense pain and sorrow. Don't feel that you need to force yourself to do things!
