Ive had some ideas about new types of videos Montana and I would like to make!

Would yall want to see videos where we revisit a realy impactful episode of Avatar/Korra and basically do an extended analysis of what made the episode so powerful or interesting to watch. I've just been thinking, and basically we are writing one incredibly long video essay about the Avatar Universe right now, and I would like to use these new videos as a means to clearly show how we feel now that we know what happens and can fully focus on analysis.

Do yall think this is a good idea? Let me know in the comments!

Feel that it would be amazing knowing what happens you can see the more finer details it would be cool to see

Chelle

I love in-depth discussions and the amazing one Montana did at the end of Season 3 regarding Korra’s character makes this an easy choice

Jale

That is such an interesting idea! Would it be after you have finished the series?

Marcb92

That would be awesome. Especially if you could use connections between Aang’s journey and Korea’s journey

G

Yes please, would love reviews like this to shine some light of knowledge on both series, especially Korra!

Ci-Ci

Yes love this idea! I enjoy analysis and video essays, so this sounds awesome :)

Shane Gilroy

I love this idea on top of doing other reacts, purely because it will please those people who always comment they’re here for the avatar content only.

William Timmins

Yes but only if it doesn't significantly hinder new material.

TeddyRuxpin

What does Montana want to do? I feel like we never hear from her

Vince92

Nah, you guys should just start RWBY instead. The first episodes are only like 5-10 minutes so you could dip your toes in and try it out to see how the response is, and RoosterTeeth is good about not being strict when it comes to copyright stuff

I run the patreon, if you wanna hear from Montana the tiktok is a great place to go! We’re working on this business together rn tho!

I also think doing character dives that are about more than 1 episode but focusing on any number of things about a character is rich for exploration.

Diego

Interesting idea. That said, I would suggest something else: a readalong of the avatar graphic novels or, if its easier for editing, a watchalong from the graphic novels already adapted with the pages to youtube in various channels and you read/comment on it (for the latter, I would wager you would need to buy the graphic novel in question to make it legal but it might be worth it both as a great story and to save time editing.

I really like this idea, a lot. Long form deep dive vids on the Avatar universe are my favs. And I think you guys would do a great job!

Ashley Blue

I love this idea!! I also wondered if you guys would consider reacting to the Legend of Korra live reading of the first chapter of the LOK comics? The original voice acting cast actually did live readings of the first couple of the chapters that immediately follows the ending of season 4. And there is a video that overlays the live reading over the actual comic art. They didn't finish doing the live readings for all the chapters but I think you guys will REALLY like the first chapter as it creates a VERY nice bookend/epilogue to the series just by itself!!

TrixieTurner

Honestly that sounds like a great idea, there's so much depth and thought put into the Atla/LoK world you can always find a new layer to work with. Honestly you could probably milk Atla/LoK well past the end of Korra, especially with all the supplemental material like the comics and books.

Kalah Dolman

I think the two part Boiling Rock episode from Avatar would be a good one to deep dive into.

Bryanne McDonough

Yes! Recently watched your book 1 ep 1 and I’d love to see you two react to all your predictions/ initial thoughts

I love this idea as well, taking some of those character and really diving into the intricacies of their arcs would be really cool. Especially because I think the characterization is so rich, you can constantly see new things about each character upon rewatch and deep diving on their arcs. Love to see Montana give some more of her point of view as a psych major (coming from a fellow psych major :), especially with characters like Azula!

Anthony Nguyen

Maybe a deep dive vid per season on some of the more impactful scenes and concepts? It might be a good format to have a reflective video as you guys go on to react to more things

Jack T

Maybe pick your top 10 episodes and do a poll on here to pick the top 5 favorites to deep dive into!

Kasey

oh my goodness i would kill for this

SweetCandle

I'd watch this, but you could go overboard with it. If it's the top few episodes, that's one thing. If it turns into "Watching Avatar again but skipping The Great Divide" I don't imagine it would be a success.

Eglė

I'd love to see you guys react to some fan art

Thomas Morgan

Absolutely! You guys are my favorite reactors for this very thing! I absolutely love when you guys get deep and talk about the show on a very advanced level, not many channels are able to offer such insightful analysis.

Drengle

Reacting to the LOK comics, especially the first chapter or two of Turf Wars would be really cool. I know Janet and Seychelle did a live reading of the first chapter.

Peter Film

A Letts video essay? Hmmmm

J. Antonio Ligorria

Another option to explore might be a series in which you react to fan theories about the Avatar Universe, the Avatar comics, do analysis of key episodes (like suggested), and/ or you come up with your own theories

J. Antonio Ligorria

Also, maybe reacting to the official Avatar channel videos? I'm not sure how they are about copyright 🧐🤔 or how it applies, but I'm just throwing ideas out there. They have good compilations
