Yay my question made it through! Montana’s answer was spot on and exactly what I needed to hear. And since you guys already watched Episode 9 you can see Mako does reevaluate himself in that one scene towards Korra so really nice prediction from her too haha. I knew chartreuse was a yellow/green :), I've never associated it with anything red. Funny thing, it's a French word and if you ask a French person what chartreuse is they do not associate it with a color, it's a mountain range for them and also a liqueur, but the color of the liqueur also happens to be chartreuse!

I think Korra asking “are you sure you can trust him?” Would have been fine. That statement comes from a place of concern about Asami’s wellbeing. Saying that he might be manipulating her is definitely where she crossed a line because she’ sort of pushing her judgments on Asami when she’s still trying to figure out how to move forward with her father.

Regarding why Korra seems to be able to do the spirit trick anywhere, remember that Republic City is absolutely lousy with spirit vines.
