Lizzy Gayle

I’m only 10 minutes in and already crying at your reactions to everybody’s outfits! I love getting to relive all these amazing moments with you guys!

Dysike

Very surprised the Catra simping counter didn't wind up being higher

William Timmins

And now you understand what we were all jumping up and down about. Both with the series and this episode. ;)

Kailor Aurelius

I work a double today and now I have something to look forward to when I get home!!!

mel

Your reactions to this episode, was absolutely *everything*

myownzinger

i really needed this today, thank you!

Suplee215

Catra's plan can easily be described as "I'll flirt with Adora all night while you kidnap her friend and magic sword" and it's perfect.

Suplee215

also my "are you ok" was referring to seeing Catra in a suit

Ghost Mom

I feel like Catra exhibits a lot of traits of BPD, with her lashing out, inability to control her emotions and her extreme issues with abandonment.

myownzinger

omg this whole reaction is such a MOOD

Suplee215
>>65502900

the simp counter broke at a point as it was too hard to keep up with it i think

I think there is importance nuance missing from this. These are fictional characters who are being made to look hot and beautiful as part of the story with others around the same age. it's not like these adults are thristing after a real person who they want to take advantage of. I also think the show does a great job at making the characters good looking without sexualizing them and that deserves a mention in this conversation.

Jessir

Kenny's sea hawk impression was spot on omg

Chelle

I was smirking throughout this entire reaction and now the back of my head hurts 😂

Suplee215

and there are 4 more seasons of this show to go. You're going love it but also not the last time that question can be relatable to an episode.

Suplee215

trying not to spam this too much but also I think an important thing about Scorpia to know is she's a princess whose kingdom was handed over to the hoard along with the rune stone that Shadow Weaver uses and we have yet to see any other member of the royal famil and Scorpia might be a force captain but she has no authority over the land despite being the princess. Honestly thinking of Scorpia's situation (and theorizing on how much of the truth she is telling and how much is her glass is half full personality sugar coating the situation) can make you go down rabbit holes and that is just with information we have in this episode.

Migli

FUN FACT: in the first shot after Adora and Glimmer open the door to the ballroom, the couple on the left are actually versions of the showrunner Noelle and their wife Molly in the she-ra universe

Migli

as a lesbian, the first time i saw Catra in a suit i ascended - a catra simp

jay luna

omgomg so excited, havent even clicked play yet.. I can't believe I never watched this show before you guys mentioned maybe doing it. And now I'm obsessed and always excited for a new reaction from you guys

Ghost Mom
>>65510802

meanwhile my lesbian self was going crazy over scorpia in that dress.

JHB

About the only comment I can make beyond "OMG!!!!" and doesn't risk veering into spoiler territory is that Scorpia's second dress attempt was based on the character's look in the 80s series.

Migli

i think one of the biggest reasons Catra wants to take Shadow Weavers place in the horde, is so she wont have power over her anymore, her whole life she's been abused, treated as if she's inferior to Adora, even after Adora betrayed them, and now, feeling like Adora has abandoned her, she wants to "prove herself" show that she isn't inferior, finally prove Shadow Weaver wrong, and take away the "power" she had over her in the process.

fr0st

Catra's VA really understood the assignment from her first line

fr0st
>>65520365

Yep. Very different from her work as Stevonnie on Steven Universe but she got the flirty smirk assignment

fr0st
>>65510469

I didn't know that but looking at it now, absolutely looks like them!

Zak Moran

After episodes that were relatively self contained, we end here with a literal cliffhanger. A classic

SweetCandle

You always seem to upload She-Ra just before I have to leave for work! Ahh, no, betrayal!

Tessa Meaney

I always loved the parallels between Glimmer and her fears of abandonment with Bow in this episode, and Catras feelings about Adora! I loved this reaction!

SweetCandle

The thing to keep in mind about this show, is that the phrase "{character} is more complicated than you think" is true for all values of {character}.

emma

I was crying at Kenny's Seahawk impression, it was too good. 😭

Kailor Aurelius

The PALPABLE panic was really sending me the whole episode!

jennifer jimenez

Yeah I totally became a patreon just for this episode lmao didn’t disappoint

RealmOfDawn

Oh yesh! This is what we've been waiting for!

JHB

We may need a "Minor Horde Character Named" counter.

Baron Salt

You leave Kyle alone! Hes doing his best!

Anonymous

Couldn’t think of a better way to spend my birthday money

Thalia Philippe

How are the AOT reactions so far ahead I thought you guys started them at the same time

Eric Smith

Your brief wondering if Bow was going with Entrapta seems like as good a place as any to mention that she's like 12 years older than him (I think she's 29 to the best friend squad's 17ish in season 1?). Not that being a somewhat short cartoon character makes that at all apparent.
