Now that we’ve seen our first real scout expedition, what do you think of commander erwins leadership?

Loss can be depicted countless ways, both rationally and irrationally but with the the severity of the “Attack on Titan” universe in mind, what is your observation of how loss was depicted this ep between those who have never seen death and those who have seen so much they’re practically numb to it?

Marcb92

After witnessing the scouts being forced to dump off the bodies of their deceased squad mates to save themselves from the pursuing titans, do you think they will be able to emotionally accept their decision?

Last episode, we saw Eren react to extreme loss and grief in an explosive manner. What do you think of how other characters are expressing their grief?? Especially the recruits from the 104th, who’ve seen and experienced so much already?

Montana, at the rate Eren is being taken from and taken-back by Mikasa, over and over and over, do you think Mikasa might become irreversibly dependent emotionally on him?

Bobby P

FOR KENNY: When you watch the intro, notice the way the Scouts are all facing starting with Jean, whose facing opposite, different directions. How many hints do you notice the deeper into the show we get?

FOR BOTH: Effective story telling requires absolute and valuable purpose to any and all aspects of the story your telling, however in stories that contain extremely regular and gruesome on-screen/page deaths most auidences connote or critize this element as meaningless shock-value, (death for the sake of death, great example Marvel Ultimatum). As a first time viewer Montana and as a veteran viewer Kenny, do you connote a purpose for the frequency of on-screen death in AOT, if so what is it, or is it a deficit in your personal opinion.
