The scene in Connie’s village is clearly unsettling and disturbing. What do you think happened there?

With this episode we got to see Sasha’s backstory, what do you think of her development starting as someone who didn’t even care about the people who lost their homes when wall Maria fell, to someone who consistently puts herself in harms way to make sure people are safe?

What side-effects might come about from witnessing something so horrific as the child Sasha saved sees?

How do you think Sasha’s character (always positive and looking for the best in situations) reflects on the series as a whole?

As you just watched, this episode gives some much needed time and development to some of the side characters. Do you find it interesting as you begin to learn about what each scout in the 104th cadet corp is fighting for? For example, Sasha while pulling back her last arrow was thinking about saving the little girl, whereas someone like Eren is driven more by revenge and personal hatred. Do you think these individual motivations of theirs might clash later on?

Originally Sasha was supposed to die in this episode but the creator later changed his mind because one of his editors pleaded with him not to, what are your thoughts on this?

Do you think Ymir was calling in the favour Sasha owed in third episode (wanting her to live for herself)?
