The anime is the official cannon not the manga + it was on fire just cuz it was really hot it was nothing special

Montana kept getting annoyed at them saying it was all for nothing because she didn't understand that it was they could have just as easily shot her instead of trying to lure her underground alive. In that way they have achieved the same result she's out of the game but it costs them a bunch of lives and it was for all for nothing. Since there's lives didn't amount to anything

Leo Noa

Fuuuuck I just left my house gotta hurry home for this

Matthew Jobin

Is the quality stuck at 360p for anyone else or just me?

VVenture

Montana went from 🤣 to 🤮 in half second when the titan’s crushed the cathedral 😂

Artem Shmelkov

You can’t imagine how grateful I am for sharing all this emotions with you! I’m new to this Patreon and I’m just overwhelmed by how FAST you actually post videos 😁 BTW: greetings from Russia)

Chelle

I really like Annie’s character, that may be an unpopular opinion but I do. Can’t wait to see y’alls reactions to Season 2 as even more amazing characters get their time to shine 😁

Paigle

Just wanted to say thank you, Kenny, for working so hard on these videos. I remember watching your Korra reactions and I've been so happy you convinced Montana to watch AOT. (It's crazy just how much she swears in this lmao) Im very excited for next season! Keep up the great work and remember to take a break every now and then!

Matt

That side eye Kenny gave just KILLED ME LOL

Marcelo

have they said if theyre reacting to attack on titan in 9 mins next?

Marcelo

I think we should all keep making references to it until they decide to watch it.

Haorii

I love your AoT vids. Oh and Kenny, not bad for keeping your poker face all the time and not spoiling 😎 I couldn‘t do it 😅

Buse

to think that arguably season 1 is the worst season of aot is mind blowing to me. it's crazy how much this show improves each season

i started watching aot for the first time in 2019 and one of my friends was like "oh btw season 1 is the worst season of aot" and i was like THIS is the worst season???

karstenj10

Much love to Kenny for always working hard and getting out these reactions for us, we all know and respect the effort you put in. And thank you to Montana for giving us some amazing reactions and insight as the series progresses, always fun to see what your thoughts are after each cliffhanger, coming from someone who’s already finished the series. Big thanks to both of you and I hope you enjoy the rest of Attack on Titan as much as I did! 😄

Hey Kenny, just clarifying that the fire/rage mode scene isn't canon, its an anime only scene! I don't think it'll ever get explained in the anime unless Isayama decides to add something in S4 Part II

emma

This is kind of random but I'm still salty that the animation studio cut Jean ruffling Armin's hair (it was supposed to be in the Room scene with Mikasa and Eren). They're my favourite duo (The Brains TM) and, atleast to me, seem a lot closer in the manga in comparison to the anime. This isn't even relevant to the plot, I just love them lol, ignore me.

No fr, I started watching and reading it in 2019 too, and to think that s1 is the "worst" season is actually crazy. Because it's still above average quality.

WIT unfortunately cut out a lot of the smaller scenes that give character interactions more meaning. In the manga, Eren and Armin are shown more as friends than the anime portrays them, Mikasa isn’t as obsessive over Eren, etc.

emma

Yes, very true! Some of those changes were definitely necessary, especially if they weren't 100% relevant to the plot (not that I like those changes either lol) but things like Mikasa's obsession with Eren were sooo unnecessary.

Buse
>>70095135

i'll never forgive WIT for what they've done to mikasa's character lol

For real, she’s an amazing character and people downplay her because of a poor adaptation from the studio. Same thing happened to Sakura from Naruto, she was written completely different in the show and she’s one of the most hated of all time now

It's canon, at least in the anime, by virtue of being in the show! Plus I'm fairly certain that Hajime Isayama was extensively involved in the production of Season 1. I'm not sure if it will get explained, but I have a thinking on why that happened that's semi-scientific? It has to do with the fact that the Titans, as we've seen, appear out of thin air — generating that much organic matter spontaneously, if it were possible, would require massive amounts of energy. Similarly to a wire letting off heat when plugged into an appliance, excess energy from the transformation is expelled in the form of steam, heat, and light (e.g., when Annie transformed in episode 23, there was a flash of light and she immediately blew up a ton of people). The initial transformation isn't the only time that organic matter is spontaneously generated, though, as when Titans heal, they rapidly grow back the body part from nothing. This is probably why Hange remarks that Eren's Titan is hot to the touch back when they were experimenting on it. We also know that a Titan's abilities are tied to will, at least the initial transformation. So what happens when a Titan is too damaged to continue fighting, but the person controlling it has an abnormal amount of willpower to push on? I think what happened is, like Kenny said, Eren had an incredibly strong drive to keep fighting in that moment. However, his head was completely smashed, he was missing limbs, and his body was just destroyed. As a result, his willpower forced his Titan into overdrive to heal itself, with the massive amounts of energy being used in order to repair the Titan body causing it to catch on fire.

[SEASON 3 SPOILERS] The matter/energy relationship would also explain a few other mechanics that come up later, such as the Colossus Titan's explosion and steam abilities (it's made up of more material and thus takes more energy to generate), and why smaller Titans such as the Cart have more endurance and can transform more times than, say, Eren's Titan (the Cart is made up of less material).

Damn I was so anxious when Kenny said "That's it" and the post credit scene wasn't there 😂 BTW, pleeeeease reacts to "Attack on titan (S1) in 9 min" it's soooo worth it!

Dontrell Durant

Episode 1&2 of season 2 are definitely NOT posted. You owe me some cookies.

Soooooo…… I’ll take 3 copies of all the Girl Scout cookies. 😊😊😝 except short bread. You can have that nasty mess

CharlesZane

All of the heat is caused by the rapid healing. If our bodies were to heal that fast, it would generate massive heat. Now imagine that from something the size of a titan. That's what all the steam, and fire comes from.

i don't know what would be better, if i should watch the next seasons by myself and then come back to see your reactions, or keep watching it with you
