What do you think of Bertholdt's new mindset? And how do you think it's going to affect the battle with the scouts?

What kind of situation would push Reiner and Bertholdt, who are still pretty young to be committing such heinous crimes, to not only continue on this mission but continue to try and see whatever this is through?
