Macayla Cody

I love how in the beginning of this season they chose to focus on the people who have always been the enemies of our main group of characters, and show them as actual people with families and lives and issues of their own.

Marcb92

Can we all give Kenny’s some applause? He is working hard and his hair looks amazing!!!

Krista Han

Wow, thank you Kenny! 🙏 I'll watch when I wake up (it's 1:15 am so I gotta go to sleep)

Chelly

I hope y’all are excited for future episodes because your brains are gonna explode… also yeah prepare for more heartbreak too but that’s a given lol

ajams22

Ah man getting emotional over the Warriors coming back to Liberio got me emotional 😭

Monia

I love Montana so much, she's so smart and empathetic. I cry the moment she cries.

Evan O'Carroll

This episode is like where’s Waldo but Eren

King Katerina

I've never seen Season 4 dubbed (I'm caught up with sub) so this even more fun for me to see y'all react! And I can confirm the major simp energy for Pieck...and maybe even Galliard, too tbh.

JennatheBreadQueen

Kenny the Levi hair is a fantastic choice, good for you buddy we love to see it

Jonny R

Kenny's face when he saw the "mysterious stranger" looking over at the warrior candidates and Reiner from above had me laughing

Marlon Torres

Great reaction, can't wait for the next episode.

I haven't really rewatched season 4, so it surprised me about as much as Kenny :)

fr0st

Oh my god, crying laughing at the war hammer titan who does wars with his hammer hands!

Starslightskye

I liked how Reiner was describing all of his comrades from the island. Sasha and her potato, Connie with the bathroom, Marco, Jean, Eren with Mikasa and Armin who followed him.... Yep. Montana didn't seem to react to Reiner's mini flashback with Annie and Bertoldt. I was hoping she would. I love the reacts!! Keep them coming!

Giorgio Zanni

Thank you!! Can't wait for EP3 as well as 6, 7 and 8 👀

Mendel Liu

I think you may have misinterpreted what Reiner was telling Falco on the train. It was more like "Yes, you're right. Inheriting a titan is a curse, and you have to save Gabi from it. But don't ever say it out loud." Falco and Reiner are on the same page.

Rory Fitz

Does anyone else think that the general guy (from the beginning of the ep) looks like Hitler? Or is that just me

Rory Fitz
>>77896677

Hammerhands beats scissorhands, now we just need a character who has paper hands

Rory Fitz

Can’t wait for you guys to get to the best opening credits of the show

Ci-Ci
>>77898474

Yeah I think he was just making sure he never said something like that to the wrong person. Reiner wouldn’t turn him and agrees with the sentiment but doesn’t want falco to get turned in for saying something like that, even if it’s to someone he thinks he can trust.

Abid Ahmed

The armbands eldians wear are different colours based on their “rank” or “class” essentially. Normal eldians wear grey armbands, warrior candidates such as Falco, Gabi, Colt etc. wear yellow armbands. Red armbands are for “Honorary Marleyans”, these are for the Warriors and their immediate family members such as Reiner and his mother or Zeke and his grandparents.

Edwin Ayala

You know, I’ve been going over the details of Marley and initially, like many other people, I thought Marley is supposed to be an alternate Nazi Germany. However, I believe they’re a lot closer to an alternate Fascist Italy while Eldians are alternate Germans. Oh well, a fascist military dictatorship is still a fascist military dictatorship.

Sean Carroll

If Montana’s already crying, then she’s definitely crying for Reiner in the next few eps

Sam M
>>77901223

I agree. It's tough to place what real world equivalent Marley might be based on, if any, but it definitely seems that Eldians are at least somewhat based on Germans. Every Eldians name has a German origin, Paradise island landscapes look German with German looking architecture, plus many of the main songs throughout the show are sung in the German language. Very interesting

Ghostwolf

I need the next 5 episodes like yesterday :D.

Seeing people react who have such empathy for all sides (like LM Reactions) is such a refreshing way to see people react

fr0st
>>77899884

I was thinking that as I watched. Just need a little moustache

Rory Fitz
>>77901223

Another thing I noticed is that a couple times when a character says “wait” in the japanese audio they say “warte”. When I first heard it I figured it was just a coincidence that the japanese and german word for wait sound similar, but I have since looked it up and can’t find any translation of “wait” into Japanese that sounds at all like “warte”. My japanese is not great though and I was relying on google so I could be wrong and it could still just be a coincidence. If anyone knows japanese better than me and knows if “wait” can be translated to “warte” in japanese, or if not then why they would use the german word, feel free to let me know

I thought it was peik I had to do a triple take on my rewatch

fr0st

I feel like we need to introduce Montana to the trope of an anime character saying something really dumb/weird with an extremely serious demeanor. It's usually not to be taken at face value, a bit like sarcasm, which is IMO what Reiner is doing with that monologue about absolute devils who eat potatoes and *gasp* gave the instructor the smaller half!

fr0st
>>77898474

Yeah, the follow up is that he tells Falco that he definitely needs to save Gabi by surpassing her as a warrior candidate. Reiner loves his cousin and doesn't want her to inherit a titan and is encouraging and warning Falco about saying the wrong thing to someone who will report him.

fr0st
>>77896704

Also like those descriptions, if you take out his tone, are the kind of thing someone says affectionately insulting someone. Reiner cares about his old comrades in the scouts and he's calling them idiots by sarcastically saying they are all devils.

fr0st
>>77902275

People reading these comments and watching this episode for the first time with them are being spoiled, mate

Arimpact

it's as amusing to watch Kenny's reaction as it is to watch Montana's. I mean how much does that speak to the rewatch value, and the storytelling ability of the creator?

Yuion
>>77902275

Its not really a spoiler. He didnt go into any specifics

Gabriel Dobson

I don't know why in the English dub they're pronouncing Gabi's name differently. It's pronounce as you would expect Gah-bi, not Gar-bee. Oh well, just gunna have to get used to it. It's giving me Avatar movie flash backs haha

fr0st
>>77902275

It doesn't have to be specific to be a spoiler. What's wrong with sticking to commenting on the content up to this particular video?

Felix Gaboc

"I've been here too long for my own good. Three years of this madness, surrounded by idiots. We were kids, what do we know about everything? Why did there have to be people like this? why? why did I let myself devolve into such a half-assed piece of shit? Damned if I know what's right anymore." -Reiner. Season 2 episode 6 "Warrior"

MossyCastle
>>77916916

I don’t know what you’re hearing, but I hear Gah-bee. Not only that but the avatar movie was blatant disregard for the source material while this is just different sounding languages.

Gabriel Dobson
>>77916916

Some characters say it the way it pronounced in Japanese original, but some don’t. Also I’m not comparing the it all to the movie just the mispronouncing of Gabi’s name sometimes. It isn’t a change in language also as Gabi is more of a western name. It’s usually short for Gabrielle.

Adam Brown
>>77916916

Yeah. I hear Gah-bi, idk what you're talking about. Idk why it's Gah-bi though, makes me think of the Green Goblin. Shouldn't it be Gabby, like Gab-eee?

Katie Jane
>>77916916

I think they're pronouncing it the same as the original Japanese VAs and that's why it sounds weird, because it should just be pronounced the way most Western English-speakers pronounce it for it to sound natural in dub. I think Germans would pronounce it the way the dub is pronouncing it, like how the original and dub both say "Reinah" instead of ReinER, so maybe that was the thought behind it. But I agree it still sounds unnatural with American VAs.

Mike Donohue

HAHA when kenny's eyes get wide when he notices something...

Anthony Barrios

I hope you continue season 4 pt 2 in sub. I hope Montana doesn’t mind. Amazing reactions tho!!!!!

MossyCastle
>>77956128

The only complaint I’ve had with it so far is a Reiner line they made slightly worse imo

Bryan

I need a subscription to watch reaction videos of ones that haven’t even been filmed yet but sadly that’s impossible

Gabriel Dobson
>>77916916

Yeah, Gabi's name is pronounced like Gabby; Gabby spelt phonetically is Gah-bi. My point is some are pronouncing the vowel sounds like CAR-BEE GAR-BEE. I didn't expect this to run into a debate lol It was just something I noticed. Even Kenny and Montana noticed in the first episode. It really isn't that big of a deal; it just catches me off guard sometimes.

Néo
>>77956128

They both have Auditory processing disorders, so it's very hard for them to follow subs

Azrael

Question will you continue reacting to part 2 of the season if it has no dubs ?

Letts React
>>77956128

We will be timing it up to watch the dub :) we cannot watch sub the first time for a myriad of reasons we have mentioned a lot haha

Zak Moran
>>77898474

Reiner is in TOP form in this episode. He covertly shows Falco how to use the propaganda as a camouflage, and he talks over Porco when he's about to say something seemingly anti-marleyan when the officers are listening in. He protects his fellow Eldians and he knows how to do it, and this episode shows that well

ggm334
>>77956128

That's a pity because in the last couple of episodes that came out, there were some oscarworthy VA performances in sub. Probably the best Japanese voice acting I've ever seen in last 2-3 AOT episodes.

Andrew
>>77998130

first episode of part 2 is already dubbed, the next comes in a few days. They probably can do 3 episodes every 2 weeks at the slowest

XLunaticX

Yeah, the dubs are coming out pretty fast so I think it’ll be fine

Brandon Domer

Please think about MHA as an anime. I know it isn't everyone's favorite or anything, the fights are just SO good sometimes

melloburner

first time hearing pieck's voice in the dub, HER VOICE???? i'm.... gonna act up.

Nigel Douglas

i just now picked up on the symbolism of the window doors flying unhinged after Reiner described the scouts on Paradis as kinda normal people and Gabi and everyone questioning for a second, before the mom closes and locks the window while going back into the propaganda speal of "of course they're devils"

karstenj10

LMAOOOO Kenny your reaction to seeing Eren was hilarious 😂

Adam B.

I totally missed this episode while I was watching it, so it’s fun to be seeing it for the the first time with you

Andrew G

Lmao Tybur Hammerhands is the newest vision from Tim Burton - I’m really not sure what the other Warriors are thinking. Porco i think is like the Marleyans said, usually doesn’t question orders… but Pieck and Reiner are pretty intelligent, so I wonder what they’re thinking about when it came to the revelation that if they don’t end up capturing Paradis Island… the Eldian race’s reason for existing will very quickly become obsolete lol. And also, I can’t tell if Reiner picked up on the “not in this room” comment because, for one thing probably has figured out that nothing anyone says anywhere is private, and/or if he’s picking up what I believe Zeke is putting down in this moment lol I know I’m late but I like to input anyway xoxo

Sophie B

And one thing to note is that Zeke has had his titan longer than the others. Zeke will die in one year but Reiner/Pieck still have a couple years left. Which is why Zeke’s successor has already been chosen, but the candidates are still competing to be Reiner’s successor.
