Hunter X Hunter, please! You guys will fall in love.

Zak Moran

If I had a nickel for everytime I watched you two react to the 9th and 10th episode of a show's fourth season where the main characters discover and debate a potentially apocalyptic solution to their problems, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice in 24 hours

Jjj.

i love your 3 options, but since you watch dubs, i think it would be a waste not to watch full metal... one the best anime dubs out there.

Mark O'Leary

Levi isn't related to the Hizuru clan. Mikasa is because her mother was a descendant of them. Levi and Mikasa are related through Mikasa's father. Put simply, Mikasa is the descendant of two clans who were immune to the Founding Titan's memory whipping thing.

Ben Burton

Just a lil thing, Levi's related to Mikasa through the Ackerman clan, not the Eastern clan, Mikasa's mother was part of the Eastern clan and father the Ackerman clan, and Levi's mother was an Ackerman (we dont know about farther I don't think, so technically could be I guess). But ye, Levi unfortunately isn't actual royalty, just a king in our hearts.

Sean Carroll

It’s so obvious that Kenny has been spoiled.

Chelly

It’s wild how the “protagonist” has now become one of the most mysterious characters, if not THE most mysterious

Keyblade

Is it just me or does Sascha look soooo much like an adult Gabi in this episode. And omg this foreshadow at the end lmao

Chelly
>>80191787

Yeah they do look similar. It becomes even more obvious in later episodes

Morgan Hinsen

"Truth Serum" You Guys are Truly connected, is this a glitch in the simulation?😂

Kaya Khanyile

Please react to Demon Slayer dub, it such a top tier anime, animation, music, character, & story is just amazing. Similar level as AOT, but a bit different.🔥🔥

Tim Itnyre

Hoping you guys do Death Note next! With Montana's Psychology background, I think hearing your discussions of it would be fascinating!

The Brooklynite

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood should be the next one. But if Demon Slayer wins, that’s cool too.

The Brooklynite

FMA: Brotherhood is phenomenal from beginning to end

TrixieTurner

Yeah there isn't much romance in AoT, but I do root for Jean and mikasa and Eren and Historia whenever I watch through it.

Emma Borgström

I really hope you guys do Death Note next! It would be so interesting to see! The other options are also great, but Death Note is good in dub and it's also not that long :)

Christian Aranda

I don’t think it’s an accident that Eren makes his threat right after the flashback of him arguing against using the rumbling. Both scenes are of Eren desperately wanting another solution that frees paradis without using the rumbling, he’s literally asking Hangie to stop him.

Nigel Douglas

somebody in the comments fooled kenny X( lmaooo in the japanese version, Eren's laugh is actually even more subtle. the dub laugh sticks out more as a laugh

Watanabu

Mikasa is half Asian, and Levi is white. Remember when Jean saw Mikasa first time, he said “You looks different from us.”

Robert Harrington

Levi isn’t a descendent of the eastern clan. Mikasa is from her mother’s side of the family. Where Mikasa is an Akerman because of her father’s side of the family.

Nigel Douglas

Well now i'm thinking about the idea of a huge giraff titan haha

Joel Miller

As someone who's completely caught up on this show, I am so excited to watch your reactions!

FailSaved

A little bit of a correction, Levi is not of eastern descent, Mikasa's Father was an Ackerman hence why she has the last name, but her mom was eastern whereas Levi is just an Ackerman.

Jeffy
>>80197204

Levi and Mikasa are related through Mikasa's father, who is white. Mikasa's mom is of eastern decent and have no relation to the Akerman's.

Alexander Brogan

Death Note or Arcane - Montana NEEDS to to meet JINXS

fr0st
>>80197171

Yeah, it's not maniacal but the sub is definitely more clearly laughing. Connie calling it out explicitly makes it even more obvious that it was a laugh to everyone who could see his face. The dub makes it seems like a laugh that could be a sob.

fr0st
>>80190510

You can either take the person at their word that they haven't been spoiled or not. What do you want to happen when you keep posting comments essentially calling someone a liar over and over on various videos? Obvious troll is obvious.

fr0st

Also, good luck with surgery and hope you recover well, Kenny. Thank you for the double drops for both shows before you need to take some recuperation time. We appreciate the hard work you put in!

Jon Wake

"There's no romance in this show, really." Yeah, the most unrealistic part of this show isn't the 50m meat mechs, its that a bunch of teenagers in close proximity and a high stress situation aren't dating each other constantly. It must be like Gossip Girl in those barracks.

Marcelo

Lmao Montana poking fun of kenny is hilarious.

Aaron Yoghurt

Hi. I dont know if you take suggestions for animes to watch since you already have the next ones planned. But when time comes for another i would like to recommend Code Geass (a classic everyone should watch) or Fruits Basket (if you are willing to try something different from the fighting/killing stuff) :) Btw love your content

fr0st

I am a little thrown off by folks saying there isn't romance in this show. Jean is shown early on to have an explicit romantic interest in Mikasa. Eren and Mikasa's relationship doesn't seem super platonic. Bertholdt clearly had a thing for Annie and now Armin does (and it seemed to be somewhat reciprocated at least from the first season), not to mention our queens Ymir and Historia, and now also Niccolo seemed to have a thing for Sasha. There's a lot of romance going on here, despite it not being the forefront of things too much because, you know, dire situation and war.

Pedro Millan Duke

Fun fact! that armband that mikasa is shown to wear in this episode is drawn on her since the first issue of the manga, but the animators never bothered to draw it because they didn't know it was important! just shows Isayamas genius

Abid Ahmed

Interesting fact: the ODM gear that Zeke presents to Lady Kiyomi was actually the one he took from miche back in season 2 episode 1 when he was first introduced to the series

Tyler DeCamp
>>80209496

Jeans is only half true as up to this point he has shown zero romantic interest to Mikasa besides one off and season one barely the only thing of romance I could say is probably Levi and Petra but even then it is only alluded to. Most "romance" in the show is fan conjecture and slight hints by the story nothing really outright

hayden

There is romantic in this show but they just kill either both of them or one of them (like ymir and historia)

Brandon Domer

Arcane is super short and AMAZING. Definitely give that a watch!

Tyler Smead

Mikasa's mother is from the eastern clan, while her father is an Ackermann. So no, Levi would have no relation to the eastern clan, Ackermann's aren't eastern.

fr0st
>>80209496

I don't want to spoil anything for you, so I'll just say if you're caught up to the anime episodes, you may have some more material about this. Levi and Petra were not really a thing, but I think Petra talks so much about Levi and in terms that imply to her dad that she and Levi are a thing. Definitely one-sided there but valid.

fr0st
>>80197204

Yeah Levi is definitely not Asian, Mikasa is half Asian. Her looking different from the rest of the people in Paradis is mentioned several times. The guys trying to kidnap her and her mom are literally talking about how she'll fetch a good price because she's exotic and there aren't many of her ethnicity around. Presumably, this is the reason they decided to target them in the first place and wanted to kill her dad and take both the women.

fr0st
>>80221537

I thought this was explicit. Zeke says he got it himself and kept it secret from the Marleyans and we see him take it and ask what it is.

LJ

my top 3 for most wanted reactions Arcane, Death note, Demon slayer in that order. Also steven universe but idk if thats even on the table

Bigbeejr55
>>80209496

if your definition of romance is characters having crushes on other characters then sure. I personally need a little more than that to consider something romance though.

fr0st
>>80209496

Not sure what other definition there would be of romance in media aside from where one or more characters show an explicit romantic interest in someone else. This is not a romance or slice of life anime so romance would definitely not be the focus here, but yes there is definitely romance in this anime, examples in the original comment. Not sure how you can get more romance than "what am I to you?" and "My only regret is that I didn't get to marry you" and so on.

LeFlaneur
>>80225796

I see Steven Universe get recommended a lot, but personally, it has way too much slice of life/standalone episodes to make it a good reaction series. Maybe if they curate the episodes and skip most of the filler.

LeFlaneur

I would like to suggest Infinity Train, and Over the Garden Wall.

LeFlaneur

Demon Slayer is an easy way to get more subscribers, because it's a "hot" show at the moment. It would also introduce Montana to sakuga, now that she's an expert in CG. However, I'd like to put my vote for Full Metal Alchemist Broterhood and Death Note for anime reactions.

Nicholas G

Remember. Levi is not royalty because he is not asian. Mikasa is half ackermann and half Hizuru, while Levi is full ackermann, which is unrelated to the asians

Tavian Lester

i had no clue the dub was like this they highkey be saying different stuff lol

Arimpact
>>80190510

What if he hasn't been, now you just told him he got something right. Good job spoiling it for him dumbass.

PurpleTux

Definitely go for Demon Slayer.

Adam Brown

Monster, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Code Geass, Death Note, Steins;Gate, Paranoia Agent, Parasyte, Cowboy Bebop, Death Parade.

Samuel Horwitz
>>80266084

I think it’s mostly just because the literal Japanese to English translation would be a little weird.

NB

People really need to stop saying Levi is a Asian. He isn't. He is Ackermann + normal blood. Mikasa is Ackermann (by father) and Asian Hizuruu (by mother).

David Sikes

in honor of Montana's comment this is post #69

Rob Not

In the episode where we get Mikasa's backstory, you see her and her mom doing embroidery. In the manga, this instead had them using traditional Japanese tattooing instruments and Mikasa with a bandage on, but the animators thought that would be kind of taboo to show that for a kid and so changed it because they didn't know that it was supposed to be important.
