Cassandra Nightshade

my god, you should watch doctor who on this channel. it is magnificent and would be a smorgasboard of psych analysis moments.

Ci-Ci

I was definitely not just sitting here refreshing 😀totally....not 😃

Eric Gjertsen

Right as I finished class! Time to watch!

Samuel Horwitz

Is the audio a bit off for anyone else at around 15:00

Rhys Harp
>>81413411

Yes i was just about to mention this, its not teriblle but the reaction to a point happens slightly before it is shown

Giovanny Barrera

Cool fact. You can see Mr. sulivan's silhouette back in season 3 during grishas memories. When Zeke ratted out his parents. When kid zeke is pointing at his parents.

Francesca White

The footage is kind of delayed in some parts, same with the audio, but this was a great reaction!

Ci-Ci
>>81413411

Yea I noticed it was of by a second or two a few times. Like they would react to something (like Levi slicing Zeke or Floch shooting at shadis) and the thing they were reacting to would come a second later

Brenda

Hey, I just wanna say that I’m day three post ACL surgery, and I’ve been in so much pain, and seeing this notification pop up just gave me the biggest smile. Thanks for all that you guys do and how much care you put into your Chanel and Patreon; it really shows

Letts React
>>81413411

Will resync that part for YouTube, think the mic was glitching somehow, should I repost or is it still ok?

Letts React
>>81415104

So sorry! Gonna fix for YouTube version, I honestly think recording audio that long somehow made the mic connections pop and delay every so often

Jawrool

Oh its about to get so real in the next 2 episodes. Can't wait

Francesca White

just so you guys know, Eren isn't saying Mikasa protects him because he has the founding Titan, since he didn't have the founding Titan when he first met her and her powers kicked in. he's saying that in the moment when they were fighting off the kidnappers and he yelled at her to "fight!" she mistook him for her master and her Ackerman instincts kicked in. so no, it doesn't have to do with him having the founding titan since she was attached to him before he had it lol

Francesca White
>>81415923

as for Levi, if you wanted to say he saw someone as his "master", i wouldn't say it was Eren, i'd say it was Erwin

Letts React
>>81415923

Rewatch the scene, says she mistook him for the host she was programmed to protect, aka the founding titan

Francesca White
>>81415923

@Letts React yeah but that was before he had the founding titan, so what I'm saying is she mistook him for the host but it wasn't because he had the founding titan since his he didn't have it yet

Letts React
>>81415923

But he is saying she protects him because he’s the founding titan, which u said she wasn’t. The first time was the only time it was a bit different, because she mistook him, but now fully she protects him because he is the founding titan, as does Levi I assume cause of how they explicitly said it

Francesca White
>>81415923

@letts react she started protecting him years before he got the founding titan, also Levi doesn't protect him the same way Mikasa does. For example, when Levi kicked him during the trial, Mikasa had to be held back from trying to stop him. It's not really a big deal but yeah by what Eren said Mikasa started protecting him before he got the founding titan because she mistook him for royalty because he gave her an order. He just so happens to also have the founding titan now, but she was already dedicated to him

JennatheBreadQueen

SUCH a great reaction to such an insane episode. I feel like Levi had been in survival mode for so long he doesn’t know anything else, possibly a trauma response along with his dedication and skill. And Floch is one of the most needlessly cruel characters in this series. His behavior and actions remind me of a terrorist honestly. Cant wait to see more!

RandomRandomly

so i know it aint on the list but i think you guys should eventually get around to "That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime" it is very good only has 2 dub seasons rn but room for about 4-6 more seasons and the light novel the anime is based on is still being written and is EXTREMELY successful in Japan so probably wont stop anytime soon, if you choose to watch please react to it, i binged all 48 current episodes in like 18 or 19 hours plus sleep between S1E9 and S1E10 no other brakes except AoT Pt 2 Finale

JuanderfulJuans

Slight audio desync after a certain point! Not super bad but mildly distracting, haha

Chelly
>>81415923

None of what you said actually matters tho because nothing Eren said in regards to the Ackermans even made sense… like, if the Ackermans had no free will they never would’ve tried to oppose the one they were created to serve (aka the King) in the first place. And Mikasa’s gotten headaches in situations Eren wasn’t even involved in. AND she’s also gone against what he’s told her to do before, with no headaches. She’s dedicated to him, yes, but literally everything he said about it being because she’s an Ackerman is bullshit. There’s even more evidence to support this than what I just said, but I can’t talk about that because spoilers.

MossyCastle

I love how you guys joked about Eren walking in the room as it was probably the most memed moment of season 4 p1

Izrail Gevorgyan

Can we talk about how more sensitized Montana is to the blood in the show, compared to where she was at the beginning. 👏🏼👏🏼

wumbo

ive been watching since end of season 3........i have never seen this cutscene................

Ci-Ci
>>81416415

Yes- I would say almost all the characters have done awful horrible things for their own causes but he does not seem to care or feel any conflict or have any remorse. He seems to have an edge to him that enjoys toying with peoples emotions beyond what he needs to do to achieve his goal. He has a sadist like quality to him.

JennatheBreadQueen
>>81416415

That’s exactly the thing that sets him apart for me. I was really thinking about it, because like you said, almost every character has had to commit violent acts at one point or another that resulted in one or more persons death. But never once did I think they actually enjoyed it. Floch seems to really enjoy “enforcing” Jaegerist rule, because it allows him to have this power over people and make them hurt. And you’re exactly right, sadist is the perfect word to describe him

Adam Brown

You guys should watch Naoki Urasawa's Monster. Especially with Montana's psyche degree.

William Timmins

Is it weird that I was like... come ooon, you know how hard it is to get blood out of white linen??

William Timmins

Your analysis of the Ackerman blood and Kenny... holy smoke.

Ashley Garcia

Y’all both are making really good points, hard to say who is “right”. Also this is why I don’t understand people who like Floch lol

Abid Ahmed

If you pay close attention you’ll notice that when Eren is beating the shit out of armin that mikasa is crying for them to stop fighting just like bertholdt did that one time annie was beating on Reiner

Rebecca Funk

I don't think armin is being manipulated because after annie was frozen in the crystal it says he was visiting her for 4 years which means he was visiting her before eating bertolt. Also if they are influenced by memory's feelings wouldn't that mean that eren would be in love with his mother. I think that armin is visiting on his own free will.

Nigel Douglas

i've never understood levis thinking of turning a jaegerist into a titan to steal zekes power. then they're just gonna have another beast titan thats supporting eren and going against them. ideally they would want someone on their own side to take zeke's power

Ryan Torres

Eren cutting is hand is like someone walking into a room with a live grenade or a gun. It's his way of saying "I'm armed, dangerous and not playing any games." He uses it to hold the fact that he can transform anytime he wants if they push him to it. That's why he walks in showing it to them first thing, so they listen to him without resistance. As for it being on the hand the way it was, it's a reference to how Eren Krueger would transform.

David Sikes
>>81426001

I think at that point he just hated Zeke so much it was personal, and it would fulfill his vow to kill the beast titan

Darby

it is NOT embarrassing to simp for levi at ANY TIMES, LEVI SIMPS RISE

Reece

I think Eren doesn't tell anyone because it will change the outcome. Maybe then the outcome would be worse, or not happen at all.

Nimbus

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

FLURTLE
>>81426001

It’s to get rid of the Royal blood titan without sacrificing one of his friends

Dre
>>81426001

The only real point to it I think is so that he doesn't limit his friends lives to 13 years, other than that yeah it doesn't make much sense

JennatheBreadQueen
>>81426151

In my head I just heard jenna marbles saying “i didn’t come here to fuck around” that’s his energy. but fr what a great way of describing it! and the kruger reference is on point

Frederik Kuethe

Great reactions, but I believe the audio is slightly off sync. The reaction to the gunshot by flock and Levi cutting of Zeke's feet show that your reaction is slightly ahead of the actual video.

Francesca White
>>81415923

@GraffitiTurtle yeah i agree lol i was just saying what Eren said because it seemed like they mistook what Eren meant, i don't agree with what Eren said

Ci-Ci
>>81425263

Also wouldn’t Eren be influenced by the previous holder of the war hammer titan? The Tyber girl? She most certainly would be considered an enemy inside eren if Bertolt is to armin.

Mo

You know, I think I saw tears in Eren's eyes after he punches Armin the first time I saw the episode. Think I noticed them now too. So...

Mark O'Leary

For clarification, the Ackermans were, like, bioengineered super soldiers. Years ago, the royal family experimented with the paths that connect all Eldians. The Ackermans were the result who, when awakened, accessed the combat skills of all their ancestors. That's why Levi and Mikasa are such badasses. They have generations of battle strategies at their fingertips. And again, all of this was cut from the episode because they weren't given enough time to explain it.

Ci-Ci
>>81469069

Is it tears or is he just squinting in anger? I really can’t tell

Bence Virag

I loved every second of this long conversation

Ghost Turty

Longest reaction so far I think. Nice one guys! Loved your analysis and predictions!

JennatheBreadQueen

ALSO I was thinking about it and these reactions almost double as video essays with the kind of analysis y’all do. I would love to see you guys do a full video (if you want!) analyzing different parts of the story and what you think is important when you finish up with s4 part 2!

Ari

Fun fact: in the sub Armin says “just like someone I used to know” when talking to Gabi at the beginning of this episode and the end of the last episode

Toidleboy
>>81419721

thats why you should just watch the outro like its intended lol people be missing out on important scenes for no reason

Azi

This post-credit scene is news to me 💀 AOT=Marvel

Azi

There are a lot of post-credit scenes I did not know about

Zak Moran

It's interesting that you cite the "cut your hair" scene as proof he DOESN'T like her, as it's always read to me as him being overly territorial about Mikasa after Jean complimented her long hair. I mean it's infantile and jealous, but Eren is pretty childish at that point. Most of the early signs of his feelings for Mikasa come across as childish and aggressive because that's just how he is early on. The scarf scene as well I think has more weight than being the "one nice thing" that he's ever said to her. In Japan there's a kind of confession of feelings called kokuhaku, and while it's much less subtle now in younger generations with more straightforward "I love yous" (but in Japanese obviously), a traditional Kokuhaku would often subtly involve promising to do something for life. I'll enjoy your food forever, I'll cook for you forever. Or I'll wrap this scarf around you as many times as you want. Isayama even told people he considered having them kiss at that moment. Now obviously they didn't, so it's not like they're together, but I think Eren at least HAD very strong positive feelings about her. Great reaction as always, I love hearing your different thoughts and feeling on everything as it unfolds, and as you get more time with the series. Y'all are truly my favorite reactors

Zak Moran
>>81415923

It's a testament to the quality of the writing that Eren's lie feels SO painful and believable, even though before this episode the Ackermann clan was literally known for being hunted by the king for being unable to brainwash and control them.

TrixieTurner

What they did with eren this season completely subverted my expectations. I was surprised by which characters I liked the most.

Ci-Ci
>>81508696

Oh I like that about the scarf! I had no idea about the background in Japan, the idea of that definitely adds to the scene. Thank you for sharing! :) yes I would say how eren interacts with mikasa goes with his character lol. I also think his behavior comes with the fact that they grew up together so he’s very comfortable in the way they get along which would mean he would have no problem being very blunt to her (IE the hair thing). It’s different than meeting someone for the first time when your 15.

Jordan Saum

Levi is cool and all but there's no denying that he's just there to be your typical overpowered anime character

Terence

First time seeIng you guy’s arguing and I am surprised by it. Lol!

Reece
>>81561309

I think he's a lot more fleshed-out than that - all characters are. And he's not so much OP when you compare him to a few others at this point (although he's the most OP non-titan for sure).

Carter Pate

can't wait until we see their reaction to the next opening

Andrew G

bahahaha, two out of two Kennys agree, Eren is not free. "Everyone's a slave to something. Even him" "Ultimately, nobody's free in this world" Significant within the show? Perhaps. Significantly funny to me? Yes xD

Andrew G

BROOOO I stopped the video right at the point you guys said "nobody is free in this world" I resumed playing it and I'm back again. an audible gasp escaped me at, "did Kenny ever save him?" I actually said this out loud lol 'OH MY GOD HE FUCKING DID' YOU'RE RIGHT, HE DID SAVE HIM OH MY GOD LOL yo if that's... if that's aCTUally what happened... yoooo. Kenny wouldn't even have been aware of what he was doing. Or at least wouldn't have been aware that his desire to set Eren free wasn't ACTUALLY his idea, but he would think it was and he would rationalize it. I mean I guess you could argue that at most he was giving him the opportunity to save himself if Historia did take the injection. But hey, like Montana said and I thought this too- he had absolutely no reason to do that. He coulda just bounced. Maybe since the Founder had been eaten 3 times already this decade, the subconscious need to defend Uri could be sorta muddled since it had changed bodies three times. So, maybe giving Eren a fighting chance was enough for him to meet his subconscious instinct to defend the /Founder/. Not Uri. The Founder. And I guess that would kind of maybe make sense if the whole Paths thing transcends time and space. He doesn't care about Eren as a human person like he did Uri. So. Maybe that's enough. and even if that's not what happened, that is still a fuckin cool ass observation dude. That's CRAZY

Ayça

Kenny: ''I don't feel very bad for him honestly''. Isayama: ''Hold my pen''.

Historia-Europa

The Ackermans are linked to specific individuals, not just Eren. Levi was to Erwin, Kenny was to Uri.

fr0st
>>82237257

Kenny was to Uri because of the royal blood. Levi was to Erwin because they just have a bond. You don't have to be compelled by blood to want to protect the person important to you and Levi doesn't blindly obey Erwin, he pushes back a fair bit that we see and eventually gives in due to Erwin's stubbornness.
